Game won't even launch. Went to the discussions threads and tried literally every fix listed. Game still won't launch. Game literally unplayable, but I have 6 hours played of it when it used to be a playable game so I can't get a refund. Have an unloadable, unplayable, unrefundable headache in my steam library forever.

It pains me to leave a negative review, as this is one of my favorite games of all time.
I played this at launch (mostly on Playstation) and fell in love. Years later, I was excited to try playing it again on my Steam Deck, only to find that the game's last update completely broke it. I've tried every supposed fix, but nothing prevents the game from crashing after the intro videos.
If you're thinking of buying this to play on a Steam Deck, don't waste your time and money. You won't make it past the intro videos.

I love the game, but the PC version is radically unstable. You need to work to get the crashes under control.
If you can get the settings worked out to prevent that, it's a fantastic and unique game.
