Who would've guessed that when you make a game designed to fun and not break arbitrary records, that it turns out to be actually be fun!

A solo Majima game is literally all I've wanted since first getting into the series with 0, and after two or so years of no hope, I probably wouldn't have even said no to a 3 hour game where he's just reading a phone-book with the occasional QTE's sprinkled in, but this right here? RGG cooked us up a full course five star meal and then some. Needless to say, this is my Game of the Year every year for the foreseeable future (or at-least until the next Majima game). 10000000 outa 10 stARRs, Peakuza here we come! FINALLY!!!

I dont know why RGG studios insists on putting a robust combat system and interesting story in my Mahjong simulator, but I will just consider that a cherry on a very delicous cake.

I've never played or even saw gameplay of Skull & Bones, but I can confidently say that this game's better

Great game but idk why the devs put a weird visual debuff on the screen during the karaoke for "As Long As You're Happy" where it gets all blurry and you start crying

You can play Mahjong as Goro Majima again. Everything else the game has to offer is simply just extra content to the real game, Mahjong.

Spend an hour cooking, delivering food, singing karaoke, cart racing and hunting bounties, each.... No idea what happens with the main story after reaching the big city yet, too much side stuff to do :D Seems like pure yakuza fun with Majima at the helm, literally :D Tons of systems and minigames like normal, with boat to boat combat, and I have barely gotten into all that.

The best way I can describe this was that this game was designed to be fun. It feels like it's a game that was designed by people who wanted other people to enjoy their passion project. Character writing so far is amazing, incredible voice acting, meaty combat, great music - and while it is early days and I can't comment on the story. I'm hooked enough to want to know what happens next for the characters alone. I can see why people love the Yakuza series and this is coming from someone who's never really touched the games. And while this game isn't necessarily something I'd normally play (I'm normally a sucker for zombie survival games/looting type games), I feel like I appreciate the work that's gone into this. While of course every product like this is designed to make money, for me personally at least I feel like this clearly had a lot of love poured into it.

Wow, the Pirate game genre is pretty dry right now. I wish there was a game that could scratch that itch. The Yakuza series for some reason:
