This a game is a must for people looking for russian dystopic post-apocalyptic action-horror shooter ! The atmosphere is really great and make the game feel immersive, i loved the story, the gameplay, the musics which really add something to the game. I fell in love with the series playing metro exodus and decided it was necessary to buy 2033 and even if the gameplay is a bit different and way more linear i loved it, it can be frustrating playing on some of the hardest difficulties if you're not familiar with the gender but you get easily used to it. Runs very good on low end pc for those wondering, overall a 10/10 i highly recommend anyone interested in the series to play it

A great post-apocalyptic first-person shooter that takes place in the tunnels of a destroyed Moscow Metro. The game's atmospheric and creepy tunnels are amazing to behold. I also enjoyed the linear levels and found the need to scavenge for resources fun to combat the horrors of the tunnels.

Great game, one of the best Trilogies I ever played. The story is SO GOOD, I loved it, I loved the maps the people, EVERYTHING. This is one of those games that you see it once, play it and then you can't stop. Definitely worth trying out, specially when it's on sale

A decent first person shooter set in a post apocalyptic world. I quite enjoyed the game as a whole but didn't find anything mind blowing about it.

The atmosphere is incredible—bleak and terrifying. The dim lighting, the sounds and whispers, the feeling of loneliness and anticipation. The story and dialogues add even more depth. Even with the advancement of games and the industry, there aren't many games that can give you the same experience as Metro. A game, and what a game 10/10

Played on Linux (Xubuntu) Metro 2033 Redux was an awesome game from start to finish. The story is well written and mixes a bit of science fiction with the supernatural. The gameplay is fun and changes enough from level to level to avoid feeling repetitive. You get fast paced and chaotic mutant attacks, slow and stealthy sneaking past enemies and everything in between. The variety of weapons and upgrades available will suit almost any playing style. My favorite is the air powered BB gun. (it's better than sounds ) You'll also have to manage your supplies and ammo, change gas mask filters and recharge your flashlight. I liked how the currency used in the Metro is military grade ammo, you can buy supplies with it or use it in your gun when in a pinch. I've never really liked cutscenes but in this game they're all done in first person and don't really distract from the gameplay as much. There isn't anything for me to dislike, I'd definitely recommend it to any fan of the post-apocalyps genre.

Metro 2033 Redux is a remastered version of the original Metro 2033, offering improved graphics, AI, and gameplay mechanics while preserving its intense survival horror atmosphere. Set in a post-apocalyptic Moscow where nuclear war has forced humanity underground, the game follows Artyom, a young survivor on a dangerous journey to warn others about the mysterious Dark Ones. The world is dark, eerie, and unforgiving, with claustrophobic metro tunnels filled with warring factions, horrifying mutants, and supernatural threats. The surface, though more open, is just as hostile due to radiation and deadly creatures. The game excels in atmosphere, making players feel constantly vulnerable. Ammo is scarce, and bullets serve as both currency and a lifeline in combat. Every shot must be carefully considered, as supplies are limited. Gas masks are essential for survival on the surface, but filters run out quickly, adding another layer of tension. Unlike traditional shooters, Metro 2033 Redux encourages stealth and resource management, making every encounter meaningful. The story is engaging, with a deep world full of morally complex choices. The metro is divided into factions like the Reich, the Red Line, and Hanza, each with its own ideology and conflicts. The game subtly presents ethical dilemmas, and your choices influence the ending. The improved AI and more refined controls in Redux make combat and exploration smoother while retaining the original’s survival horror elements. The game’s sound design is phenomenal, with haunting echoes, distant screams, and immersive voice acting that enhance the experience. Metro 2033 Redux is more than just a shooter; it is an intense survival experience that demands patience, strategy, and immersion. Its gripping narrative, oppressive atmosphere, and unique mechanics make it a must-play for fans of deep, atmospheric games.
