Contractors Showdown/Exfilzone builds on everything right with Contractors VR and makes it so much better. Showdown being the battle royal mode, has a unique system of movement and weapons that fit well with the last man standing game type. The weapons are bright and there's a heap of skins and gear to unlock. Exfilzone takes it all to a whole new level. Extraction/tarkov like mode where you're going into a zone, looting and surviving. It has a full health system that requires different medical attention to rectify, customisable loadouts and equipment, from the sights, grips and attachments on weapons, to the pouch placement on your vest and backpack. The weapon handling is only improved from Contractors, with more control over weapons and reloads like mag retention reloading and topping off partially or empty magazines. The game is still in alpha and does have some clunk but in it's current state it shows excellent promise for where this game will go.

One of the most entertaining and heart pounding VR games I have ever owned/played. If you enjoy games like DayZ/Arma/Escape From Tarkov then this game is for you! Brilliant medic/food/hydration system and incredibly fun and realistic gun play. Play as a solo or group up with 1 or 2 friends. Wildly intense game, couldn't recommend it enough. I hope the game continues to grow.

Only played the extraction mode, not the BR. It's really good, considering it's in Alpha. Keep an eye on this one.

At first the game was amazing. There is a learning curve in which I didn't mind. Not new to extract shooters but am new to VR extract shooters. Here are my pros and cons Pros: 1) Combat is amazing 2) Graphics are good 3) Looting system is pretty straight forward 4) Easy to learn but hard to master Cons: 1) Scavs seem a little to over the top as far as being sponges 2) to me it seems like armor rating doesn't mean anything since you could have top gear and still get one shot by a scav 3) I think players spawn a little to close to one another 4) EAC is worthless. Updated windows and now I can't play the game no matter what I do (error code 1275) There's people that wish you could que into single raids but that's not really the point of extract shooters. This game will test to see how much can you adapt to the situation you've been given. I have encountered multiple duos and 3 man groups but if you play smart, you don't even have to deal with them. I saw some others saying there's cheaters, I haven't witnessed any on my end but doesn't mean there isn't. I've had some questionable "deaths" but I can't say for certain if it was due to a cheater or not. Right now, as much as I'd like to recommend this game, I can't for the purpose of if you're on PCVR and do a windows update, you have a high chance that the games EAC will permanently lock you out until the devs do something about their EAC or if you decide to roll back the update if you can Edit: I gave the game a thumbs up now since I was able to troubleshoot my 1275 error code. So I am able to get back in and play.

I have ~100 hours playing solo in the ExfilZone mode on PCVR with all traders almost to Level 4. Never played Ghosts of Tabor. Overall highly recommend if you've ever wanted to play an extraction shooter in VR. The caveat being that you'll have a bad time if you can't resist tilting when losing your gear and can't stomach the steep learning curve. If you can do those things then you'll have a blast and this game will eclipse the rest of your VR library. Experience and thoughts on some issues listed by others: Hacking - Haven't really come across any obvious hackers. Could be region based (I play on USWest) or just lucky. Crashing - I've crashed somewhere around 3 times that would occur immediately on joining a raid (countdown hits 0) and you would lose all your gear. Seems to have been fixed in Patch v.1.2.5.1 though and you're able to rejoin or decline rejoining while keeping your gear in both situations. Unfair fights (teams vs. solo) - Controversial topic. I'm in favor of keeping it the way that it is and not fragmenting the player base into trios, duos, and solos. Part of the learning curve is knowing how to assess your odds in winning a fight or if you're better off staying quiet, avoiding it, and giving up the area's loot. Starting out is rough and equipment (bullet/armor tiers) matter but when getting into an unavoidable fight with lower tier gear, unarmored face and leg shots are still lethal (lower tier bullets do huge flesh damage) and getting the jump on someone is invaluable (sprinting is LOUD, if you're in an area with high potential of contact, don't sprint unless going from cover to cover across an open area). Bugs - Sometimes loot falls through the floor. It sucks and it happens every now and then. Hope the devs are able to fix this. Scav issues - The one big scav issue I have is that when playing as a scav, other player scavs can take anything you have equipped on you very easily. A player scav can take your backpack and everything in it and you can't retaliate as initiating combat with another scav player will mark you as hostile to AI scavs for the entire run. Despite the issues, why I still recommend: It's super fun. Progression in doing the tasks, building out your bunker, and overall learning the game feels good. At first, I couldn't even use the iron sights properly, would forget to rack my weapon after reloading on empty, and peek for way too long. AI scav encounters built up huge pressure that made me make a ton of mistakes. Once you get the muscle memory down, build good combat habits, and are more confident in taking fights, AI scavs become a minimal threat - fighting players being the next hurdle. The journey from being a huge mess and pressure-succumbing combat klutz to being able to hold your ground and outplay a kitted player (or players) to make it out with the loot you want is an awesome experience. This is a game-changer for VR and I hope the devs continue its positive trajectory by fixing the crashing issues and other bugs that inhibit other players from enjoying the game.

I tried to get into it as I love EFT, but with the limitations of it's graphics, It's extremely hard to shoot at people that more than 20 meters from you, as all you see is a faint blur. It's a shame, as the graphics in the training areas are solid, but in game as it loads the large maps it takes a huge dive. Will take another look once the game is more optimised in the future.

Game looked fun, sadly I can't play it. Every time I launch the game, it immediately throws a box that says fatal error and the game crashes. No other information. I scoured some forums, the issue seems very common and independent of hardware. Seems very few manage to resolve it. I tried all the suggestions. Disabling iGPU, making sure no applications have overlays enabled, uninstalling Radeon Experience and installing drivers only... All to no avail. Not a spec problem. I'm running a 7950X3D, 7900XTX, and 64GB DDR5 6000 CL30. I'm out of ideas and feel like I've wasted a lot of time on a game that I had to pay for and can't play. I can not recommend, and will be refunding.

The battle royale mode is extremely mid and not worth buying this for at all. As for the ExfilZone (EZ) gamemode, it is extremely fun. I've played tabor quite a bit and while that game has more polish in terms of questing, controls, and the hideout, EZ is immensely better in terms of gunplay, QoL, and (lack of) jankiness. Playing Tabor feels like a chore and I get a headache every single time from what should be extremely basic things such as picking an item up. Dropping a gun on the floor on accident and trying to pick it up is actually awful in Tabor. Virtual crouching not even being an option unless you pick Seated mode make it genuinely a chore to do anything. Picking anything up in Tabor is awful in general. In EZ with force-grab it's literally so easy and painless. The weapon smoothing is awful in Tabor. The gunplay in EZ is infinitely better as well. Scav raids are actually perfection in this. (I hope that a scav rep feature gets added). The scopes in EZ are SO SO SO SO MUCH BETTER and are actually usable as well. The variable zoom scope is LITERALLY perfection. The tasks are also so much more fun in EZ than Tabor imo. Everything that Tabor and EZ does, EZ does it so much better. That being said, there is quite a bit of jank and missing essential features. In tabor, you can snap the neck of a scav to take their gun, or, bring in a knife to kill a scav. If you run out of ammo in EZ, you have 0 offense or defense until you find a weapon and ammo in a crate (or ig a grenade). Maybe, certain items like a screwdriver, or other items like that you can actually use as weapons for stabbing as well. Things you are holding in your hands will randomly drop for no reason with no indication in EZ. Combined with this, most items clip through the floor 80% of the time. It is a complete gamble if you drop something if it will just clip through and you lose an item. Attaching webbing to your backpack is cool but being able to grab stuff attached to your backpack without having it out leads to so many problems. It's a really cool feature though, maybe it should be able to be turned off so that you can only take stuff out of the webbing if you hold the backpack? Taking attachments off a gun or putting them on is extremely tedious in EZ. It just doesn't work 80% of the time. One thing that i do miss from tabor is being able to put a gun into safety. So many times in the hide out I am trying to Grip+Trigger an attachment and I end up grabbing the gun with my other hand and wasting a bullet. I love the feature of being able to grab the gun with your other hand without having to drop it first though, it's actually so nice. There needs to be a way to check hydration, energy, weight, and time left in raid on a watch on your wrist or something. Or, maybe just when you look at your wrist it pops up on there. Opening a menu every time to check a basic thing is very tedious, especially when food and water goes down way too fast in EZ. Also, the map constantly re-centering itself while moving is annoying af. Oh, and also also, pings on a map randomly disappear, it is very frustrating lmao. Another thing I like in Tabor is going to the market, you can test the weapons with ammo and a magazine on the wall. Maybe there could be a feature where if you click an item to buy in the market in EZ, it shows up and you can interact with it before buying it to see how it works/looks. The graphics options in EZ are awful. Resolution set to "ultra" and it looks like im playing 720p and weapon fire mode writings are impossible to read. Anti Aliasing seems to do literally nothing. There NEEDS to be an option to upscale (FSR, DLSS, XeSS idc just anything) and proper AA (not TAA or FXAA). Tabor's and Into the Radius's graphics settings are mind numbingly in depth. Maybe there should be a basic tab which is what it is now and an advanced tab that is like Tabor's or ITR's. All in all, EZ is actually super good, and is so much more fun than Tabor. I don't ever see myself going back to Tabor unless this game dies. The battle royale mode is really bad tbh but EZ alone is worth $20.

This is NOT game to be enjoyed at all. You will quickly realize that Contractors has turned into a hacker's playground. The anticheat software is outdated and they refuse to take action against the plethora of players using instant headshot kills. if you do manage to somehow avoid the cheating players, your joy is quickly ruined after you kill one player has 2 or 3 more who are squaded up will come after you next. If youre looking for a VR game to actually enjoy without having your mood ruined, this is not the game. The community on this game is also extremely toxic -- the minimum wage workers with a big mouth, who will talk constant trash while hiding behind their teamates. And then theres the clown community who genuinely believes you cannot cheat on a Vr Game --- while theres Anti cheat software at the launch banner. The devs are extremely lazy with cleaning up the pollution of cheaters and glitchers, while also several bugs in the game ruin your experience -- most notoriously dropping your equipment and it literally falls through the ground.
