This is an example of perfectly executed game design.

A good roguelite with immersive sim mechanics. Runs are as long as you want them to be, as you control when you're ready to retire your character, unless you lose them in the process.
The few immersive sim elements are in how you can approach problems differently. There's few situations that have only a single solution, and your creativity is often rewarded. You can clear a ship out room by room while heading towards your intended human target, or you can set things up just right that they kill themselves with minimal input from you. Need to steal something from the other side of the enemy ship? there's a couple methods to make your own entrances and get past locked doors, whose keyholders are now floating in space, if you're creative enough.
My only real complaint is the fact that there are achievements that require you to have friends that are playing the game. That's fine enough if there's direct connections, but servers will not stay up forever, and eventually it'll be impossible to complete these achievements.

It's really fucking good.
You can beat people with wrenches.
You can throw wrenches like shuriken.
You can teleport your wrenches back to you and continue the wrenching.
Wrench my brothers. Wrench them. Wrench them all.

I'm struggling to write a fair review of this game... It's not terrible, but I dunno if there's much of an audience for top-down stealth games. The stealth feels a little lackluster if i'm being honest, a solution to a problem usually just a couple of mouse clicks way with the aid of a pointy stick, or just some magic sci-fi BS. I dunno, maybe I was expecting something else, but this game feels like a chore, something to play once or twice and then never play it again. It's got some interesting concepts, but the whole thing feels just a little stale, perhaps a bit too mechanical.
Would suggest Deadbolt as an alternative to this game, or perhaps FTL if you enjoy the spaceship sim stuff.
I might actually get round to completing this game at some point; But, if i'm being honest, what's the point... it's not like i'll ever play it afterwards.

This game is extremely underrated
A really satisfying im-sim that lets you do ridiculous things like teleport out of the ship you're sneaking onto, then swapping with your brother who you came there to save, and remote control your pod to pick him up.
The difficulty is fun in the way that you can use the "broken" strategies to make the game a breeze, or sneak onto ships with nothing and hope for the best. Highly recommended!!!

How have I not played this until 2025??
Fantastic and endlessly replayable, game loops, with such a nice skill level to reach for.
Hurling yourself into space, going after your targets using a simple variety of fun and interesting gadgets, and as the game proudly boasts, making terrible mistakes and then finding ways to solve them.
I really like that you can get legacy items from your friends and former characters across your playthrus.
Great Game!!

I've been playing this game for 7 years now. I'm probably going to play it until I die. It's just a good game. It's really that simple. It's fun, simple, has plenty of challenge to it, and rewards good gameplay. It's great for binge sessions and quickies. There's just absolutely nothing wrong with this game. Buy it, play it, enjoy.

Great game from great devs. The only thing I could complain about are the multiplayer/co-op achievements were really annoying to get, but they are cool features nonetheless. Every level is a different puzzle, but you'll start to find strategies that work for different situations and it snowballs into being able to make do with next to nothing. 10/10 recommend the whole Defenestration Trilogy, all are great games and you can really see the path and how it got better with each iteration, while still being totally unique.

Nice bite-sized challenges. Just enough story to make it engaging. One of those games that I play for a while, put down, and then come back months later to play more.
