it's not even worth the 1,49€ it's on sale for atm. slower than my restarted cousin. do not think that maybe you'll like it, maybe everyone is just wrong about it. no. it's insulting that this piece of shit hasn't been removed from steam.

The og soulslike Not as bad as people claim, just some pretty slow combat. A bargain to get on sale.

Its an older game but visuals are quite good. Story is good. So much to explore and many choices. Enemies can be quite difficult. Plays in superultrawide 32:9

If you manage to pick this game up cheaply during a Steam sale, it's a nice enough diversion to play through. Although dated, the graphics are still okay, although there are a few glitches here and there, as objects going through one and other instead of colliding. The first downside of the game is the fact there is no map system, which can make exploration rather frustrating, as they expect you to focus on land marks. Often I found myself confused when I was in areas that looked very much alike. The other thing that a lot of games have is a save system based on certain in-game points and the fact you are bound to one save slot during your playthrough. This makes replayability or exploring the outcome of difference choices you can make impossible. For me personally, it is not the sort of game I would want to replay in its whole, just to see a different outcome, this is not just because the gameplay isn't as much fun as I hoped, but also because it can get quite repetitive, and the story isn't as fleshed out and lore-rich as it is in the The Witcher series. Respawned monsters in areas you have already cleared is quite frustrating and results in unrewarding hack-and-slash.

One of the if not the worst game I have ever played. Gun to my head, couldn't think of something I played I have enjoyed playing less. Mass Effect Andromeda is even better than this.

Good game. Sadly, I can't access the DLC because the blacksmith won't give me the option, even though the DLC is installed :-/ Still had a lot of fun, though

Initially I had 2 game crashes, one at 40 mins and another at 80 mins. At that time I had a dilemma as to whether refund this or to keep playing, hoping that the crashes will resolved itself(it didn't of course) as it is closer to the 2 hour playtime refund period. I tried searching for help and found one that might solve the crash issue. And oh my, that was a good decision I had made given the tight timing. I disabled NVIDIA Turbulence in the options and continue playing the game, hoping that the next crash doesn't occur at the 2hr mark. It didn't crash for the next 4 hours during my play session and I was happy with it. The next crash occurs around 12 hours+ total play time. So it is a good 10 hours+ of smooth gameplay with no crashes. I had a total of about 10 crashes for the 120 hours of playtime. That's on average about 12 hours per crash which is about enough time to beat the game. So do take note if you plan on buying this game. [If disabling NVIDIA Turbulence didn't work you, try disabling "Volumetric Lighting" and "Postprocessing" in options.] I played this game and completed 3 times, with each class from scratch. The main distinction among the 3 classes is just the different starting magic, equipment and stats. All of these can be carried forward to NG+ and NG++ is the final playthrough. The fighting style will depend on the weapon equipped. It also plays similar to Dark Souls 1 with some minor differences. Compared to Dark Souls 1, this game is so much easier. You can literally beat the game without increasing your VIT(or Max HP) and using attribute & magic shards, that is how easy it is. Unlike Dark Souls 1, this game has a EXP multiplier that increases as you defeat enemies up to a cap of 2.0. The multiplier can be saved and not reset at savepoints if you choose not to refill your health or potions. So if you play very well, you can racked up hundreds of thousands of exp and finally spend them all after some time. The other interesting thing is that bosses dropped 2 different variant of an equipment. The orange variant one will only dropped if you meet some challenge requirements, which is not stated in game but can be found online. Any equipment you have found cannot be discarded and will have no duplicates, but you can keep both variant of the boss equipment if you play NG+. The exp gained can be banked into either attributes or magic. Overall the game is rather short at around 10+hrs and I had much fun playing it. You can try this game out if you don't mind the occasional crashes and the rather slow pace of Dark Souls 1 combat. There is currently a 95% off steep discount which is good value as it includes all DLC. 8/10

Considering what I paid for this game: Yes, I recommend. I had fun. I got frustrated due to some bugs at times, like the final boss freezing when I killed it instead actually dying, which made me have to load the game and fight it again.

Slow souls is a great starting point for the souls genre. Hide behind a shield and play the better remake. Patience goes brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! 6/10
