Took me approximately 8h to beat the game in normal without [The Code](i accidentally afk'd for about 1.5 hours around my 2h mark), feels nice to see my improvements, accelerating is fun and dodging attacks when my heat is sky high is almost breathtaking, especially in bossfights, but onto some things I'd like to point out: 1. Game feels sided to blitzing through the bosses, in Suguri, you have essentially no means of healing, and some of the bosses/enemies become a bit inconsistent to beat through prolonged combat, I wouldn't say this is bad nor good, I find it pretty fun to get forced to learn how to dodge them for extended periods of time. 2. Achievements are indeed, a bit broken, and you may need to watch replays to get them. 3. Story is alright, I don't think it's as bad as some think, maybe a bit cliche to some, but I find it charming the way it is. 4. It is hard to differentiate what you can accelerate through and what you can't. As mentioned in 4, I had 0 clue that the blue attacks on Hime's bossfight were not possible to phase through, and the moment I learned, it just became... INFINITELY easier. Usually you only see a few kinds of attacks in the game and it had been made clear that you can't really phase through solid attacks(Rocks, Robots, Missiles, Fire, etc), but that glowing energy attacks were phase-able, this SEVERELY confused me on Hime as to why I was being hit by the blue projectiles, thinking that she only had the spears and the dashing projectiles as non-phase able, only to learn that so long as it is red and not blue, you can phase through it. Sorry for the long explanation above, but yes, you get absolutely no mention of what you can phase through and what you can't, although I was only ever confused by Hime's blue projectiles and the stage 4 miniboss fire, as I highly doubt the rest of the attacks would confuse the average player, since they look energy-like enough and solid enough. Overall, I recommend it if you are into difficult games, I originally only bought this so I could learn a bit more from Suguri and 100% OJ in the hopes of doing some research for a game project I've been working on. P.S: Most hypers give a substantial amount of iframes, don't be afraid to use it too early if it means you can learn a bit more of the boss so you can do better next time, rather than get angry that you put extra effort to not use the hyper and get surprised by the boss' ult.
