One of the classics, a true sequel in all but name to Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Still fun to play. Short for modern standards (that 6 and a half hours is a full playthrough), but fun. It was also great for multiplayer it its time, but those times are gone. Music is excellent, Michael Giacchino made something great again. And a fun fact: one of the voice actors is Jason Statham.

ive seen a lot of cope saying this game is better then the newer cods, that is just factually incorrect, everything about this game is worse then everything after cod 4 BUT this is still a great for its time and its biggest problem is the fact that it was held down by the tech of its time, i love this game and i enjoyed it more then the new modern warfare 2 and i would say this is a Low B to High c tier Call of duty, this is a product of its time and for its time this is a great game. 6-7/10 by todays standards probably a 4/10 dont get me wrong i really REALLY enjoyed this game and its probably in my top 10 especially cod 2

If you care at all about the franchise's history then I would honestly recommend it. That is of course if you can get it at reduced price. Because I don't really see the need as much to pay for it.

It's shocking how well this game has aged. I went into this expecting some "eh it lays the foundations" type of first game but it's insane how much of the game feels like COD, even with how old this game is. It's even crazier to see how this one singular game ended up becoming such a powerhouse and, for better or worse, continuing on for 23 years straight. Great game imo.

A classic FPS game. Graphics are decent, gameplay can be hit or miss. My shots hit more often with hip fire rather than aim down sights (ADS). Perhaps it was the Counter-Strike mechanics from muscle memory to counter-strafe my shots. Or it was the weird resolution I had to work around with on a newer machine (you will likely have some issues because this game was made for older systems). I miss not being able to sprint in this one. Also, I do not miss the health pack mechanic in newer games. Overall, decent campaign (finished just under 5 hours). I did not care too much for the multiplayer. At the time of this review, some servers seem to be active, can host your own as well. I'm pretty sure Jason Statham did a voice over in this one!

The first game is a classic WWII first-person shooter that set the foundation for the entire franchise. Its gritty realism, cinematic storytelling, and multiple perspectives from American, British, and Soviet soldiers make the single-player campaign a memorable experience. The missions are intense and varied, capturing both the chaos and strategy of real battlefield combat. But what truly made this game special for me was the hours I spent after school playing multiplayer with my friends! It was fast, competitive, and endlessly fun. The teamwork and adrenaline made every match unforgettable. For its time, and I'd say even now, Call of Duty remains a landmark in FPS history. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3524069274

If you've never yelled "Cover me, I'm reloading!" in a dramatic fashion while crouch-walking through Stalingrad, did you even have a childhood? Call of Duty (the original, the OG, the pixelated legend) is not just a game, it’s a full-blown historical time machine powered by 2003 graphics and pure WWII grit. Before the series became a jetpack-fueled Michael Bay simulator, this was the game that made you feel like a tiny cog in the terrifying machine of war and it did it brilliantly. What still holds up ?: - AI Squadmates that actually help. They suppress enemies, flank, and occasionally die heroically (RIP random British guy #3). - Sound Design: That slaps from the ping of an M1 Garand to the terrifying buzz of an MG42, it's all deeply immersive. - Mission Variety: From storming bunkers in Normandy to surviving ambushes in snowy Soviet towns, each level has a cinematic flow that rivals even today’s shooters. Graphics: Yes, it's from 2003. No, it doesn't have ray tracing. But somehow, your imagination fills the rest. Call it "retro immersion." Fun Fact: This is the only game where crouching in tall grass and throwing a potato masher grenade can feel both heroic and hilariously underpowered. Also, Price has a mustache that could conquer continents. Pro Tip: Play it on Hardened for the best balance of challenge and chaos. You'll feel like a war hero but one who occasionally gets stuck behind a jeep. Final Verdict: This isn’t just a shooter. It’s a historic relic, a masterclass in atmosphere, and most importantly the granddaddy of modern FPS campaigns. 🔟/🔟 would storm Normandy again.
