Fun little ascending bullet hell game. Art and sound are both great and the gameplay is pretty fun. It's a lot easier on mouse and keyboard, but I beat it using a controller with minimal issue; only problem I had was it seems diagonal down inputs would trigger the down-slam attack when jumping, which could cause problems. But invincibility frames are generous on dash and down slam so it rarely ended up being an issue.
Balance is a little odd, defense seems a bit overpowered compared to offense. I tend to build glass cannon in games like this, since killing faster is often safest, but the damage reducing Constitution perk mixed with the starting health regen relic resulted in me no longer taking meaningful damage on Hard difficulty. So much so that I'd not made it past floor 6 before the first run I took it, and it immediately let me win the run.
Not much replayability once it's over, build options aren't that varied and enemy waves are the same every run, only slightly varied in their spawn positions.
Still, a fun couple of hours for a couple of bucks, a light recommend at full price and an easy recommend on sale.
