Summary: INFRA puts you into the boots of a structural analyst on a routine mission. Quickly though, your task turns into a fight for survival, all caused by deep-rooted schemes of the past. Your tools are simple: your camera and the wits to navigate a labyrinth of debris. ------------------------------- What is in the game: This game features 1 long story mode, that has multiple collectables, achievments and other things to find. You play as a structural analyst that goes through old buildings to document damages. ------------------------------- Thoughts: I honestly really enjoyed this. If you enjoy exploration and find urbex interesting, this will be right up your alley. It has a ton of unique areas that are all visually distinct. And I think it's really cool how you spend so long in old tunnels; when you eventually get to go outside, it's relieving. You really get immersed in the character. I had tried to get into this game in 2022 but couldn't because of the puzzles and because I was much stupider, but coming back, most of them make sense, and when I did get stuck, I could tell it was because I was dumb and not because the puzzles themselves were unclear. The game's story is simple, but the external parts you can learn by exploring and reading documents are pretty interesting. Stalburg is a cool place for this to take place; with the whole city falling apart, it's perfect for an urbex game. I really enjoy that you can help fix stuff and the world will react in subtle ways. If there is one complaint I have, it's that some of the voice acting is a little bad, but not like unbearable. Anyway, I really recommend INFRA; give it a try! ------------------------------- Mid PC Optimization: Runs at 90-120 or more fps 90% of the time and only dips to 40-ish fps in some of the larger levels if you look at specific angles. ------------------------------- Time to Beat: It's hard to say for sure, as this will heavily depend on how you play and how good you are at puzzles. But I would say a good middle ground of struggling on some puzzles and looking around the environments would take 21-ish hours. ------------------------------- Price: ☑ Buy it full ☐ Wait for sale ☐ Don't buy it ☐ Free With the amount of content and how small the team for this game was, I definitely think you should buy this at full price. This little indie game has more content than some AAA games. ------------------------------- Graphics: ☐ Amazing ☑ Good ☐ Average ☐ Bad ☐ Awful They hold up great considering it's an indie game on an old engine. Literally the only part I think looks kind of bad is the people. The environments are all unique-feeling and beautiful. Your eyes won't get bored in this game. ------------------------------- Gameplay: ☐ Very Fun ☑ Fun ☐ Meh ☐ Bad ☐ Awful While simple, it works. Walk around and explore, take photos of structural damage, and look for batteries for your equipment. Throw in the occasional puzzle; it's simple but fun if you enjoy exploring in games. ------------------------------- Music: ☐ Amazing ☑ Good ☐ Average ☐ Bad ☐ Terrible ☐ None The music does its job and fits the game perfectly. I probably wouldn't listen to any of it alone, but in the game it elevates the experience. ------------------------------- Bugs: ☐ None that ive seen ☑ Not impactful ☐ Negatively affects gameplay Mainly just some small graphical glitches in some places. ------------------------------- Side-Notes: Turn the memory setting to low, it is just a bad unoptimized setting that can crash you in bigger levels, and has no visual improvement.

Bought when on offer because why not? Really enjoyable game with plenty of problem solving and puzzles, the lack of ever getting close to another person, only seeing the off glimpse from another floor really adds to the atmosphere of the game. Some puzzles were here a little extreme (like it required you to just perfectly hit a ledge on the way down) and you'd have to try again, and again, and again, but generally all in all a very positive experience, And I managed to make it out alive :)

A phenomenal game. The story and lore is extensive, and the way you discover it while playing is super interesting. While some of the puzzles may have you looking up a tutorial, they are fun to work through nonetheless and very detailed. Everything you do has effects later on, and many levels have multiple ways to solve them or optional side quests. This gives the game lots of replay value, and, in addition to its great length, makes it absolutely worth the money. I would recommend this game to people who like solving puzzles, uncovering mysteries and exploring detailed urban environments. For real engineers the real world accuracy of the infrastructure portrayed will vary, but it never is so outrageous it took me out of it. Its very fun to play as a sort of worst case scenario job simulator.

Tedious maze of endless sewers. The first of all the plot is amazing. This would work as a movie or a series. I was expecting a lot after playing the sequel first Obenseuer (Open Sewer) , the best indie game ever from the same developer with endless things to do. But I don't recommend unless you love the slow paced endless puzzles. There is next to none clues towards the end. If you miss any detail you are stuck in sewers forever. You stumble for hours and hours in the dark with frustratingly limited flashlight batteries. My eyes hurt trying to stare details for hours. Walkthroughs just ruin the game they don’t help or give hints they spoil the game. Too much sewer levels and every door is always locked. This should be named Closed Sewer, unlike Open Sewer which was also a funny game unlike this one. This was only twisted and dark. The developer has a thing for sewers surely.

Bought it, realised there is a glitch with the "memory available" setting (keeps randomly shutting down), refunded it, couldn't bear not playing it, found a solution to that problem, bought it again (for good this time)

Honestly a great game. I enjoyed it so much that I even went back to get all of the achievements, which in itself made me realize I had not seen nearly as much as I thought I had the first time around. Starting out initially I was actually a bit worried that I may have already spoiled too much of the game for myself to truly get the full experience, due to having already watched a playthrough prior to buying the game, but I was proven pleasantly wrong! There's just so much to discover in the world, and learn about regarding the story, that it really takes MULTIPLE playthroughs to truly see everything. As I've seen many others say, the majority of the game is just a lot of walking as you move from area to area, look for secrets, or solve puzzles, but the game gives you such a beautiful and detailed looking world to walk around in (especially considering this was all achieved on source), that at least for me it wasn't really an issue, and actually kept me invested in covering every inch of the map before moving on to the next one. I can definitely see this not being the kind of game for everyone however, and probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone who prefers games that are more action oriented / fast paced / consisting of really anything super active happening outside of key moments. Only really issues I can think to mention are a few puzzles are a little over complicated and can devolve into just random guessing to get through them, the battery system might not be for everyone due to how quickly you go through them (though I personally didn't mind it), and some of the areas you do/don't need to photograph aren't always obvious (making it very important to scan around with your camera before moving on from a location). Otherwise, if you're up for taking things at a somewhat slower pace and have an interest in urban exploration, crumbling infrastructure, and/or uncovering a massive conspiracy piece by piece while you're just trying to do your job, then I really couldn't recommend playing Infra enough.

infra is a great game if you like walking simulator games and long lengthy games. You play as Mark, a Surveyor for NCG Group. who has to go to a dam to take photographs and report in to your team and boss of anything unusual such as broken doors, broken windows, railway signals down, etc along the way you will be either outdoors or indoors checking rooms, and or outdoor objects and using your camera to take photos and reading notes, taking photos of notes. In dark area you use your flashlight. Collect batteries for the flashlight and camera to keep stocked up so you can take photos. Its a lengthy game depending if you run through or not or take your time. Enjoy the background noise such as birds, waterfalls, and navigate through forests and indoor areas. Great game for any walking simulator fan. Highly recommend giving this a go, I only discovered it a few weeks ago and started playing a few days ago. There are puzzles too like finding breaker circuits to insert into the missing slots. Played about 3.5 hours total off steam and steam I have played a bit, but recommend playing if you haven't played Infra before!
