INFRA is a charming adventure title where the notionally mundane task of infrastructural investigation is turned into a story-rich tale in the Source Engine due to a swell mix of rewarding puzzles and a slow burn story about the age-ole noir trope of facility corruption. I'm reminded of the investigatory element of L.A. Noire in how emphasis is put on player awareness and creativity to get through puzzles, or to otherwise grant Mark, our protagonist, a greater ability to report back to his colleagues exactly what's gone wrong with the structures he has been assigned to investigate. While a lot of source games are more expressly violent in natures, INFRA shares in the Portal franchise's focus on adventure and puzzle-solving as it unravels its plot, where you'll be more worried about having enough batteries for your camera and flashlight than bullets.

Set up as a "disaster movie" where corruption is the cause and you are the "Inspectigator". Engaging, diverse and lively maps - it has an urbex feeling throughout. Progression and exploration are nicely convoluted and interactive. Hope the dev will have the time later to polish it. (Last couple chapters needed to limit the VRAM mem to low, cause of crashing when saving)

Infra is without a doubt one of the best source engine games I've ever played. It is also one of the best puzzle and story games I've ever played, that takes you through plenty of different environments and aesthetically awesome looking places. I encourage people to go in blind and find the secrets for yourself!

A well made, atmospheric puzzle game starring possibly the most underpaid man imaginable with a story that turned out a lot more interesting than I would have predicted.

Solid 10/10 (Subjective). Environment which combines puzzle and observations, is what the game is like. You need to actually EXPLORE and PAY ATTENTION to your surroundings. Puzzle moderately hard, perfect for explorers who like walking back-and-forth. Icing on the cake with the lore and easter eggs.

I absolutely love the concept of exploring abandoned industrial areas, it's a great idea for a game and was executed very well. However, maybe I'm just stupid, but I got lost/stuck countless times and had to look up walkthroughs on YouTube to realize there was some little detail I had missed, or a door I didn't realize I could go through. But when it wasn't making me feel like an idiot, this game was awesome, one of the best I've ever played.

I played this game entirely on steamdeck and it worked beautifully. The team that designed and developed this clearly had a lot of ideas, and dedication. If you just follow the straight path through the story, there's some heavily detailed environments to creep around in, a unique job that needs to be done by the unstoppable force that is Mark the incorruptible bureaucrat, and hundreds of puzzles to solve. But this game's description and tags don't tell you that its also open world and immersive and I think those are the fans that would love sniffing out all the secrets this is packed with if you don't just follow the story. If this game gave the players a visible inventory and the ability to look at their photo gallery, then it would be perfect. Mark's calm and collected way of dieing or falling down an elevator shaft then taking a picture of the hazard like it's nothing, he's charming without needing anything extra.

What a game. It just kept going and going and going. You spend a day of your life crawling throu sewers and pipes, taking pictures like a urbex tourist. So much is done so well, the game captivates you until the end. I loved the journey through Stalberg's trashcan of an infrastructure and I came out wanting so much more. I really hope we see an INFRA 2 one day. The visuals, the sound design, the mysteries, stories, puzzles... The whole game screams labour of love. Once the credit rolled, I felt empty. I wanted to see more, explore more, fix things again... I never liked walking simulators (INFRA isn't technically one, but I see it's sometimes refered as one), I always felt that most of them are just 90% movies and had nothing to offer as games. INFRA understood this and involved you as a player, not a viewer. The story is here, you need to work, explore to find and understand it, you as player get to actively be the protagonist. Thank you so much for such an amazing game. Sequel me, sequel now. Just don't let Robin anywhere near it. He still owes me a working coffee machine.

It's a walking simulator with an interesting story and puzzles in which you get to inspect crumbling infrastructure. If crumbling industry is your thing, then it's definitely worth a play. The puzzles aren't really that difficult (there are a couple that I would consider bs though), and it's usually obvious what the goal of each puzzle is, so you won't be just wandering around trying to figure out what the point of things are as in some other, less polished games. Graphically it is quite dated though, and the devs were seemingly a bit too ambitious with the last chapter in which the game can sometimes crash when saving on certain maps (turning down some graphical settings will help a bit). The voice acting isn't too great but the main character does grow on you. If either of these things are important to you, it's something to be aware of when considering this game.
