the game is good but they need to update it a shit ton, the combat is janky as hell I swung the sword and hatchets hard enough but it doesnt do a head kill, and I struggle so hard with the dagger, they need to fix it alot.

After putting some time in the biggest gripe I have is how the weapons work. It's interesting that they can get stuck into the target. Not a bad thing really, I just wish the dropped weapons would stay a bit longer than they do. The bad is that the blades don't actually slash at all unless you hit perfectly on certain spots. You can't stab very easy with swords at all. They tend to glance off the enemy more often than they actually land a hit. Same for a lot of the dagger or punching weapons. The head, upper arms, and lower legs due seem the most vulnerable to hit but the head and face are as well but unless you have a spear, going for their face is pointless most of the time. Bludgeoning weapons and spears seem to be the best options that I have found.
Good game? No. Okay for the price though. I would like to see an improvement of the daggers and swords though. They're almost useless.

probably the jankest crap i've played in years. randomly enemies are made of metal and your attack just clanks of em. and veapons randomly getting stuck in em, despite me holding the button so hard my controller is making cracking sounds. i see what you tried to do... but this game needs a few more months in the oven.

as a goblin slayer fan i enjoy the hell out of this. but for how low quality the controls and combat is its not worth the money. And i got it on sale. Id hope some improvement updates come in. The goblins maybe stupid in this game but they hit you more then you with them. We need armor, more weapons, and more girls lol I cant find mods for this game either so that's a bummer

Jank as hell and tends to crash, but appropriately priced for what it is.
If I had recommendations for the developer:
* The game is a bit too unforgiving as to what constitutes a hit. It's a bit weird to see my strikes just bounce off the bare skin of goblins.
* The lag with large weapons is just a bad idea. It's makes them close to useless. I'd recommend only keeping lag when using them one-handed in order to encourage two-handed use.

I really wanted to like this game, but the combat just feels so bad. It isn't obvious whether your weapon hitting an enemy will do damage or whether your weapon will properly block an attack, your weapon frequently gets stuck in an enemy and then flies off to who knows where, and even when you've shoved a dagger several inches through a goblin's head, it may just get back up and keep swinging.
This all gets much worse once you've freed the cleric. The unreliable attacking and blocking leads to fighting on your back foot, but you can't retreat with the cleric following you or she'll get attacked, trip over herself or a half-dead goblin, and then die.
I think the developer has found a fun gameplay loop with a simple storyline, but I can't recommend this game with the combat as it is. You're much better off getting your fix from another hour in Blade & Sorcery.

Enjoyable Japanese indie-jank. Surprising variety in weapons, all of which feel bad to use. As you progress more and more different types of (cave) environments start appearing which is nice to see. Goblins and the cleric are physics-based in their movements which leads to funny moments. It's not actually a good game. But it's fun so who cares.

Goblin Slayer approves of this game.
It's pretty jenky, but it's also priced accordingly.
Pretty much the whole game consists of dungeon crawling to find the locked up girl and then trying to get out alive without dying (or having her randomly disappear, which happened to me once.) You can also keep any weapons you finish with to use next time.
The combat is surprisingly hard, partly due to the how buggy the goblins are, but it's also really hard to get an effective hit on them. It's a pretty basic VR hack and slash aside from that.
One cool feature is that you can upload your own avatar. That means you can live out your goblin slaying isekai fantasy as any character you want.
Overall this game is far from good, but I definitely got my $10 out of it so far, and I plan to play it more.
