Great game. Super fun! A unique take on the classic tower defence game genre. Maybe the best take ever. Definitely check it out

If you love tower defence games you will love this game. Its kind of like a mild RPG/TD/RTS game. you can personalise, move around the map, control your units. Very mild calm graphics but boy does the game pack a punch. I'm only 3hrs in and am loving it.

It feels like I am playing an incredible board game. The depth of tactics and strategy is not immediately apparent but becomes so the more you progress. Excellent.

honestly if youre looking for a cheap time waster that you expect to put in like 3 hours total, or for steam deck or something then this is for you
fun for a bit but ultimately loses its charm after a few hours with chasing the quests being the main time investment, the steam achievement rate shows most people dont even play past the first few levels, or even engage in the quest system so they never even encounter the game's horrible balancing for the quests and later levels
there is really only a couple of solutions to every quest leading to a loss of hours replaying the same entire level in hopes you can finally pass one singular wave out of a dozen, just to lose on the next, forcing you to restart the whole level again
skill issue or not, its just not fun to waste hours doing trial and error for a pointlessly challenging quest or mission

Exceptionally fun, this may be the best game of its type to date. The battles are engaging, exciting and you're really invested in whether you can successfully protect just a higher % of your kingdom. Somehow this offers meaningful strategic choices, opportunities, and it creates really thrilling game.
Grizzled experienced gamehounds will enjoy this, but you could also teach this to your mother or a small child. Its intuitive, but sophisticated. Its a fantastic game! Strong recommend

It is fun at the beginning, then it is just too unbalanced and unforgiving.
If you start playing with mutators to get achievements, forget about having fun. Often there's no coming back from the smallest mistake.
I guess the idea is to replay the same map several times to get to know what you are against. The problem with this is that thee is no strategy, you are not solving anything. You are just finding out by "hit and miss" what is the layout you need to win each level.
This is more a memory game than anything else. But to each, its own.

I highly recommend this game !
Kudos to the developers, they have done a great job with the progression of this game. (currently at 2.11)
I bought this game fairly early on in the early release and quickly feel in love with the art style and approach that they have taken. It has progressed to complete game and beyond my expectations.
The game is easy for new users to approach and still has massive depth and challenge for advanced users.
I also love the latest options with the eternal trials and true endless. Those modes really add to the replayability of the game (not that it was needed with all the other options that are already available).
I also enjoy the "mini" games that I have only played a fraction of so far.
If you like tower defense games this is a must buy IMO.
If you don't, you still deserve a look as this stands out from all others in gameplay and options.

I don't normally feel motivated to leave reviews unless it's for the Steam Awards badge at the end of the year however after having some time to reflect on my time beating this game I do think it is probably some of the most fun I had gaming last year. A strange combination of comfy and stressful that you'd have to play to understand. Highly recommend to anyone that enjoys Tower Defense.

One of my favorite things about Thronefall that makes it a lot funner than so many other "defense" games is how you can defend your kingdom down to the center and still be able to bounce back and achieve victory. Your kingdom is fully rebuilt after each night, so aside from losing a bit of income, its nice not to worry about how close the enemies get to your castle - you can defend it tot he last breath.
