Weird and janky but very unique. Open world tower defense, only you move your turrets all at once on a moving castle. Medium amount of movement tech so far, I hope to see more.
Have to play with launch options to set 1440p, and need to change a config file for 144hz.

Feels like a Japan Studio PS2 game that was discovered in someone's basement decades later. It doesn't run or look particularly great, but this game absolutely has some novel mechanics which is becoming more and more rare as this industry matures. The other reviews go more in depth, but if you wanna try something fresh, weird, and a little janky, give this one a go. I did like 75% of the side content, and I beat the game in ~7 hours.
Crazy it was all made by one guy too. Would smoke a sequel to this, or whatever they are working on next.

As many other reviews have mentioned, it feels like a strange PS2 game. The gameplay is a mix of speedy-platforming around a map that looks like the Shadow of the Colossus overworld, and then tower defense segments where you're managing a customized weapon-platform-monster. After said tower defense segments (which are only started when you feel like it, so it doesn't break the SotC-esque sad overworld vibes) there's usually some pseudo-intellectual-anime cut scenes (feels like an indie dev attempt to make something like Nier),
It's imperfect but memorable and most of all fun to play. Definitely deserves more players!

If you got here and scrolled far enough to look at reviews, just buy the game already
Its 100% worth your time and money to checkout this neat little indie title. The gameplay is as fun as it looks and the story is really well told.
We need more games like this, and I hope the dev keeps putting the same kind of passion they put into to this game into all their projects

Really interesting game. Gameplay is kind of like an action rpg mixed with a tower defense, reminds me a lot of those cool, lesser known PS2 games you would find back in the day. Hope they make a sequel!

Its great, its unique, and its got really good art direction (Even if it does look like an early ps2 game at the best of times).
