Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy offers both longtime fans and newcomers a compelling journey into the high-stakes world of courtroom drama, combining clever storytelling, memorable characters, and engaging puzzle-solving in one polished package. This collection brings together the full narrative arc of Apollo Justice’s tenure as a defense attorney, including his titular game alongside two additional cases that continue the Ace Attorney saga. The trilogy balances humor, suspense, and emotional depth, all wrapped in the series’ signature style of investigative gameplay and courtroom battles that demand keen observation and sharp logic. At its core, the gameplay revolves around investigation and courtroom segments, where players gather evidence, interview witnesses, and expose contradictions to defend their clients. The mechanics are intuitive yet challenging, encouraging players to carefully analyze testimonies and item descriptions, then strategically present evidence to turn the tide of trial proceedings. Apollo Justice introduces new gameplay elements like the “Perceive” system, allowing players to spot subtle nervous ticks in witnesses’ behavior—a fresh twist that deepens the interrogation process and adds layers to puzzle-solving. Narratively, the trilogy shines with its engaging and often emotional story arcs. Apollo, a young and idealistic attorney, grapples with uncovering dark conspiracies and personal mysteries, including ties to previous series protagonists. The writing skillfully balances lighthearted banter and comedic moments with more serious themes such as justice, truth, and redemption. The character development is a standout, with Apollo’s growth mirrored by a memorable cast of allies and adversaries, each with distinct personalities and motivations that enrich the overarching plot. Visually, the trilogy features stylized, anime-inspired graphics that remain true to the original games while benefiting from enhanced resolutions and smoother animations in this compilation. The expressive character portraits and detailed courtroom settings bring each scene to life, capturing the intensity and drama of legal confrontations. The soundtrack complements the mood perfectly, from tense courtroom showdowns to quirky character themes, heightening immersion throughout the experience. The localization and voice acting (where available) further elevate the storytelling, with witty dialogue and charismatic performances that convey emotion and nuance effectively. The game’s pacing is generally well-handled, with a balanced mix of investigation, courtroom battles, and character interactions that keep players engaged without overwhelming them. While the trilogy mostly retains the original games’ structure, some players might find certain puzzles or logic leaps frustrating, especially newcomers unfamiliar with visual novel conventions. However, the series’ forgiving save system and hints help mitigate potential stumbling blocks. Additionally, the trilogy’s inclusion of three complete cases offers a substantial amount of content, providing dozens of hours of gameplay and replayability. In summary, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a polished and heartfelt compilation that captures the essence of the beloved franchise while introducing new gameplay innovations. It delivers a captivating courtroom drama filled with intriguing mysteries, clever puzzles, and unforgettable characters. Whether you’re a veteran of the series or a first-time player, this trilogy offers a rich, entertaining experience that celebrates the enduring appeal of the Ace Attorney universe. Rating: 8/10

SPOILERS AHEAD. I love this franchise, and im plannig on buying the other 2 games that I am missing but oh my god whoever made that Tenma taro case (Im not even done with it as im writng this review by the way) needs help, Its SUCH unnecessarily stretched case, with like semi okayish characters at best. From my understanding its like an important lore case for Apollo (since its the case right after Apollo Leaves the agency) BUT OH MY GOD its so boring. Otherwise the first Apollo episodes are amazing, very fun 4 episodes and an amazing final episode. Dual destinies turns the game 3d with cinematics and funny animations which is kinda odd to get used to but gets fun overtime. Also please chill on Athena, i like her but jesus shes such an op character, like what CANT she do ?

I absolutely love this game. The characters are quirky, funny and intteract with each other as real family members do. The puzzles are hard but solvable if you don't overthink them. I would reccomend this game everyone who loves puzzles and mysteries.
Pros
- 3 games in one, Apollo Justice, Dual Destinies, & Spirit of Justice + all DLC content from the games included. - The new section they added in Dual Destinies & Spirit of Justice where you revisualize the facts of the case to make your grand arguments feels so awesome to go through, much better than the original trilogy where you would more or less have to present your argument on the fly and hope you were on the same track as the game.
Cons
- consult feature requires 2 failed presents to prompt you. I wish there was an option to just freely consult when feeling stuck instead of guessing for 2 attempts when you aren't sure what the game is trying to point you at. not only that but it just repeats the same advice even if you keep going in the wrong direction. - you can't typically put this game down once you start a case otherwise you'll tend to forget specific details the game expects you to remember, and these details aren't the court record. ex. "requirements for spirit channeling" it's not in the court record so if you forgot it, tough luck look up a guide or blindly guess. - the "game over" sequence feels annoying/pointless/frustrating because there isn't any real stakes or ending to the case if you lose. the judge spits out the usual thing of your client is guilty, the doors shut, and you "game over" where you can just retry the scene again.
Conclusion
-Up until I got to Spirit of Justice I was enjoying this trilogy more than the original! The amount of cons mainly stems from wanting to keep playing but not dedicating time to play all the way through a case in one sitting which make the experience much smoother I wish the consult system was a bit more helpful to unstick players who are having trouble getting on the same line as the game cause you feel incredibly brilliant when you are thinking the same way and incredibly frustrated when you are presenting things out of sync with the game... After getting through the last base game SoJ case though, I will say, I really like where they took Apollo's character! I didn't really have a desire to play anything without Phoenix Wright in the game but after playing Dual Destinies on the 3DS I decided to pick up the Apollo Justice Trilogy and I'm really glad I did! I'm looking forward to a future game where they continue this story!

My favorite part was when Apollo Justice went "I am the ace attorney" and got his client a guilty verdict
