Well intended-game. Not well supported and very confusing. Many bugs in the actions and overall not polished. The idea is very cool, especially if you like the the style of art work and roguelites.

Lacking content but there is so much potential. I cannot wait to see if it lives up to it. The graphics are far nicer than I actually expected. I haven't had any problems with the controls whether on keyboard/mouse or an XBOX controller. Each character is different enough but not balanced. For example Guan Yu has no initial stat weakness but a couple of initial strengths +5% Auto hp +5% Attack But Xiahou Yuan has initial significant weaknesses and insignificant strengths -10% hp, -5% defense, -3% experience +3% dodge +10% moving speed The increase is moving speed seems pretty good, except all of the characters are pretty fast to begin with so there is no real benefit in choosing Xiahou over Guan Yu. Xiahou is a range character which on the surface seems to be an advantage over Guan Yu's melee weapon until you realize with the current possible loadout, you have at least 4 range power attacks that make's Guan Yu superior in every significant way. The 7 available characters are varied in their initial set of powers or stats but they don't necessarily require different strategies. What is optimal for one character is optimal for all which is to move and pick 7 offensive powers and 1 defensive or HP regen-related powers. It is an early access game and the price tag is perfect for what you get. I enjoyed it very much but it is absolutely bare-bones right now. 3 levels with 4 different settings (Normal, Hyper, Hard, Hard Hyper). The only difference with the level layout is just dirt, grass and snow. Neither of which effect your movement or require extra thought in strategy. 3 levels is way too short but I imagine we are going to get anywhere from 10-12 levels in total, at least I hope so. I am recommending the game at this early state because of the fair price point and I honestly believe this game will be amazing when it's actually complete.

I'm not super into the Survivors genre but there's not much more than one evening's worth of fun here. Feels like they pushed it out of early access before it was really "done" and abandoned it. It's "fine" but there's not much in the way of interesting synergies to figure out. On a Three Kingdoms level I don't think it even has all five Tiger Generals. "It is what it is."

Rather interesting concept. Basically you have to run about killing hordes of enemies and hoping you don't get overwhelmed. Decent enough.

Basically Vampire Survivors: Three Kingdoms. It's not bad, especially for the price and being Early Access. Pros: - Dynasty Warriors vibe with rock soundtrack and fighting hordes - Actual 3D is nice compared to similar games of this style that are typically 2D - Upgrade-able basic attack combos are cool - Decent amount of skills/spells with persistent progression upgrades Cons: - Very small character selection. You expect a lot for a Three Kingdoms setting. Right now they only have 7: Guan Yu, Xiahou Yuan, Zhuge Liang, Da Qiao, Zhang Fei, Zhang Zhao, and Huang Yueying. - Music gets repetitive quick - Continue is enter and not spacebar. Let me be lazy! I give it a 6 or 7 out of 10 at the moment. Worth trying if you like Three Kingdoms and Vampire Survivors. Hopefully the game will be fleshed out on release.
