love this game, people don't give it enough credit to it. yeah its a straight forward beat em up but its got gameplay and is defiantly satisfying. if you want to turn your brain off and play with a friend, you should. cheap as chips

Very good art direction for both comic bookish cutscenes and dark more realistic style during gameplay. A mystery is brewing, but the story is very low stakes and never really gets going. The gameplay is extremely basic. The combos are too simplistic and the animations are too repetitive. Combat encourages are constant and feel like they are trying to pad for time. This is somewhat saved by the fact that the game can be beat in less than 2.5 hours. Feels like a lot of wasted potential considering the IP and that Arkham Asylum come out in the same year. Pass unless you like Watchmen or spamming basic combos.

I dont remember this game with so many glitches and bugs that it is practically un playable. If you play as Rorshac owl man just gets stuck or stands in one spot. Couldnt get under a door because owl man insisted on standing with garbage cans. Having to restart this game constantly to get past the non sense glitch. Pc version is absoulte GARBAGE

Worth picking up on sale. Pretty short but fun, though my enjoyment also came from playing through it with friends. It's funny throwing dudes around. Still gotta play Part 2. Not very challenging, though I did die a few times due to being swarmed by enemies. Later stages of lockpicking doesn't play nice with a controller as it gets tricky to just align the pick using an analog stick.

Watchmen is a very short-lived beat-'em up game, created as a promotional tie-in for the film. It's hard to grasp the intention behind its design, as it throws you straight into the action without much context. If you're not familiar with the comics, you won't recognize the characters, and the story leads directly into part two, which is another standalone game. I still don’t understand why these are separate titles. The game features combos that are hard to execute, clunky movement, and a disappointing final boss fight. The enemy variety is minimal, with only three basic types, and they’re all damage sponges for the most part. Some enemies have stun moves that can easily trap you in a loop, which gets frustrating. The constant combat becomes repetitive, and you'll often find button-mashing is the most effective strategy, making the combo mechanics almost unnecessary. On the plus side, the character abilities are pretty fun, and if the game were more developed, they'd be enjoyable to use in fights. I wouldn’t recommend playing this solo. While it supports remote play, it barely works. As the second player, I couldn’t get controller support to work, so I had to take over with keyboard and mouse while the first player used a controller. Graphically, it resembles Batman: Arkham Asylum —it’s not bad, but it’s not great either. The visuals are decent, landing somewhere in the middle. The comic-style cutscenes are a nice touch, but for most other cutscenes—like the ones introducing enemies—by the time the scene ends, the enemies are already attacking you. Some cutscenes, such as climbing a ladder, really don’t need to be cutscenes at all. Animations actually look alright. The executions are fun to watch, but the combat isn’t fast enough, and the game is too short, so they get recycled often. Some of the voice lines are a bit corny—landing somewhere between serious and comedic. It’s the kind of thing that might make you roll your eyes and chuckle a little, but it’s not unbearable. If you can grab both parts for $1.99 during a sale (like 80% off), it could provide a fun couple of hours of local co-op with a friend. However, I wouldn’t recommend it in any other context.

Unfortunately, this is a typical game for movie, with many flaws. in the core gameplay its a brawler, where 95% of time you fight with human-enemies. So, negatives first- - the game requires for you to know the movie or the comic book, otherwise you wont understand who those people are (esp. Dr. Manhattan, etc) - the world is empty and completely static, the levels are just corridors/arenas - enemies are too simple and require little to no strategy and adaptation - this game implies two heroes cooperate and fight side by side, but has NONE mechanics that play around it (ofc u can name doors opening mechanic that each hero can open for his counterpart, BUT its not under the pressure for other guy) - the plot is almost absent and exists only to make heroes to kick some bandits asses, no detective work and investigation is required - ridiculous "boss" fight - enemies AI is kinda bad, sometimes they lose pathing and walk away from cliffs, sometimes stuck and wait for their turn Positives: + the fighting system is not bad (but it definitely not enough to hold for long) + it has co-op and and splitscreen I bought this game of sheer nostalgia, because I played this game with my brother, and frankly speaking we didnt knew who Nite Owl and Rorchach were, and had fun. Playing solo, unfortunately, wasnt.

man i played this game ages ago on xbox 360, i remembered playing co op and the cool brutalities. turns out my memories were heavily tinted with nostalgia and the game has not aged well lol. the "puzzles" (if you can even call them that) are extremely simplistic (except lockpicking which only appeared twice) as is combat with pretty much all enemies going down to "press [X] to finish", a single tackle or the legendary kick, kick, stomp. sometimes you can instantly finish them by throwing them over a ledge lol. i guess as a child this level of simplicity was good but its kinda boring. there are technically "dodge counters" but they're janky and don't do too much. the finishers themselfs are sort of nice and brutal enough for my child brain but theres only a few and when they're used so often they also get boring. the main characters are also hella cringe (not a problem for child me since i didn't even speak english lmao) , the only boss in game is mid and janky while the game itself is kind of buggy (almost got softlocked on first mission cus coop ai got stuck on a door and the "puzzle" of both pulling a lever at same time blocked the way). the game is also very visibly dated because its missing some core stuff like SPRINTING (whole game you just jog) or any sort of real directions (you can get lost on some levels easily if there aren't enemy corpses to show you've been here already). the game is atleast very cheap on the sale i got and short, its even spread on part 1 and 2 as 2 different games and with both lasting about 2 hours you can actually refund after finishing lmao. i think i'll just try to forget this game again and leave it burried where nostalgia actually made it a nice memory

Decent game, like low budget Arkham Asylum. Short game but if you can get it on sale and you want to play something similar to the Batman Arkham games but with more brutality and blood then this game isn't bad. They have a double pack too with part 1 and 2. Just make sure to switch to xbox 360 controller in the settings menu if you're using an xbox one/ series s/x controller, you can still use the controller you just gotta change it in the game's settings so it works properly. The game even has two player though I didn't try it.
