1. This is apparently the shitty old version of the game and not the director's cut. Fuck me I guess for supporting the devs earlier on before that was an option. Why is this even on the store still? Just to dupe someone who doesn't realize the director's cut exists? Scummy. 2. The game is fine. Not good, not bad, just okay. Definitely the arcade-y part of space sims. I got almost half way through the game and was bored. There's this drawn out story about colonists and Earth fighting each other, but the bottom line is that in two hours I fought like 3 kinds of ships and they all looked like the ones on my team. It desperately needs aliens or something to spice up the early game. The strike suit being a power up means that mecha fans will be disappointed you have to fly around in a pretty normal space ship most of the time, and the space sim fans will be annoyed that the mecha transformation is grossly overpowered. I ain't buying this game again just to see if the director's cut fixes any of these issues.
