The original games used to be really amazing.
Some would even say that they were classics.
And I do agree with that sentiment, they are.
But then this game came and it's astounding.
These developers managed to really revive it.
The gameplay is amazing and so is the story.
Everything looks nice: It's a beautiful game.
And I really have to give it a positive review.
I honestly do recommend the GOTY edition.
Although most of those DLC's are garbage.
This one is the prime example of worthless.
It's just a player skin, that's it. Nothing else.
Modders do these awesome things for free.
It's a waste of money, just a cash grab stuff.
You won't get additional playtime from this.

Overall I like this skinn, I got all of them on a sale so it was good deal, but there is one thing I think it would be better. Instead of the red and bright brownish pants, I think it would be much better if the color was dark green with black leather. Like some people say in general the island is a dark place (not only because of the lore), but because of the nature on it - mostly rocky with dark green plantation and would be a very good camoflage. Anyway even if I enjoyed this one I prefer the Guerilla Skin, because it blended better with the enviroment and has 1 thing that this skin greatly miss - Lara's wounds. During the game progress we see her in very cruel situations - stabed, hitted, falling and whats so, the original skin has all the details about that and the Sure-Shot skin is like she just arrived on the island and all the way thru the game she almost doesn't have a scratch. With the Guerilla Skin however I noticed she has even more blood/scars on her shoulder and face, which is why I played most of the time with the Guerilla Skin.
And - a small (almost insignificant) spoiler for Arrow TV show if someone didn't watch it but intend to:
--- I know it's not really on the topic but I was a huge fan of the 1st and 2nd season of the Arrow show, and the island has similarities with Lian Yu (the island Oliver Queen crahed in North China Sea, similair to Lara). SO I think there is somekind of connection between Lara and Oliver with this island situation (+ both mastered archery) and the enviroment and nature seems similar. It would be pretty cool if this "archer" skin was similair to the 1st version of Oliver's Arrow suit (without the hood). Just IMO.

Square's paid mods. There's nothing special about the costume either.

TOMB RAIDER SERIES TO ESCAPE ITS COLONIAL PAST
[ 9 April 2024 ]
British adventurer Lara Croft will transition from being a raider of tombs to a seeker of truth as Evil Hat Productions and Crystal Dynamics seek to redefine the Tomb Raider series in order to escape a history wounded by colonialism, according to an excerpt from the official Tomb Raider Shadows of Truth RPG rulebook.
"Raiding, as depicted in the original Tomb Raider games and stories, involves going to ancient tombs and historical sites of different civilisations and acquiring artefacts. It operates on the assumption of 'finders keepers' that grants raiders with the means and the drive to claim ownership of artefacts, regardless of whether they have any historical or cultural claim to the treasure."
"Later games released in the franchise have started the work of addressing this by having Lara Croft acknowledge her past mistakes and try to understand and show respect for the cultures and communities she comes into contact with. She has also worked to reform raider culture and raise the awareness of her peers."
"Lara no longer decorates her mantle with mythic artefacts - as a raider she prioritises seeking out the truth. Much of this game is inspired by her humanity, struggle with heroism, and her tenacity. We believe that all three aspects are an important component in creating a game that celebrates history and culture while acknowledging the respect and work required to live in a world wounded by colonialism."
"In this game, we seek to continue in that work alongside Crystal Dynamics by creating a sandbox for you to tell stories that address colonialist themes in play and create your own stories of respect and support for the people and cultures your Seekers encounter."

It's just a skin. It's purely cosmetic.
There are those who will make the argument, that the alternative, something that has a tangible effect on gameplay, would be pay-to-win. But, this is for single player. Even if it doesn't make the game easier, if it just changes the gameplay, say with a combination of positive and negative modifiers, that would be value for money, because it would make things more interesting. But, this? You get to play dress up with Barbie Lara Croft.

This is just an outfit for Lara on the story mode, it is selectable in the base camp.
PS.: This is my favorite one.

The Tomb Raider: Sure-Shot Skin is a stylish and eye-catching outfit for Lara, standing out with its vibrant colors against the typically muted palette of the game. It's a refreshing change and quickly became one of my favorites. I’d recommend picking it up as part of an affordable bundle or in the GOTY edition. Just keep in mind that, unlike Lara's default outfit, this skin doesn't show any wear and tear as you move through the game.

The add-on adds a new look for Lara Croft to the game. The look itself is a rather nice costume, which perfectly harmonizes with the figure of the main character. This is quite enough to consider it one of the best looks of the game.

As unlockable I would recommend it, cannot recommend someone to pay for this, it is outrageous. Instead of nothing when you find all secrets and 100% the game, you could get skins not pay for them.

DLC verdict: Don't get it OR Get it in the bundle with the base game
Comment:
It is just a new skin which you can change at the camp fires. However, it does not reflect the injuries Lara receives (unlike her default skin) so it is very immersion breaking. But it is part of the GOTY edition so you could get this through buying that version.
