AWFUL!!! The original sky shark is still better. The movement on this D-make feels so slow along with the guns. Graphics don't help as the colors looks flat and easy to forget. The music sounds so lame. I rather sit and wait at the DMV for my number to be called than listen to whatever you call that.

Another good port of a toaplan game with the excelence of bitwave. It has modern conveniences likeautofire option, hitboxes with different size for your ship and a rewind button. The game is a classic shmup with fire button and bomb button , and that is it. The patterns are simple, there is small quantity of bullets on the screens, but boy they are fast and have a cirurgycal precision. The game is tons of fun. Love to see enemeys suddenly appearing behind structures to snipe you. The devs could had a option to change the bullet enemy color as not always constrast well with the background, therefore bullet visibility could be improved. Neverless considering the relation quality price, is not a big issue. These games are super cheap, specially if you buy it in volumes.

Classic gritty fun! Deceptively elegant, requiring you to memorize each little detail to make a real run at it. Highly recommended to hardcore shooter fans.

It is a nice game for the price. It does resemble a bit with ZX Spectrum 48K version that I used to play back in the days. The dificulty in my opinion is way too high, to play it without the "assistance". It is a game when losing one life takes away the weapons upgrades, and in the middle of the game there is no way to advance with the basic weapon. enemies bullets are waytoo manyt and way to fast and sometimes hard to see on the specific backgrounds. Or am I just getting old? :D

Right after releasing an arcade titty game 麻雀シスターズ (do they like expect people to be jackin' it right there in an arcade parlour?), they've made a game which they've reused for multiple other releases. Hishōzame! Zame! Zame! It's an arcade pay to win coin muncher vertical shooter. If you shoot down every plane in a wave you get a power-up. You have bombs which deal damage in a small circle, but also wipe away dangerous projectiles. Unlike in the home port, the boats are absolute beasts. Leaving even one alive means it will fill the screen with 1HKO bullets. And you barely can see the dangerous projectiles. If going through a bullet hell wasn't enough for you, this game loves to spawn enemies from below to ram you. The game has great art and designs. There are memorable set-pieces. And Toaplan thought so much of them that it elected to establish its administration there. They've openly copied many scenes for Kyukyoku Tiger and reused many of the assets in other games. This one is a great release. You can become a sportsmen and train to beat this 15-minutes long unfair game created to coins on one life. You can insert infinite virtual coins. You can use save-games between the levels. Or you can rewind. There are sufficient display options. There are no stupid baked-in envelopes for the render, and there’s screen rotation option, allowing you to properly play it on your 3//4 vertical screen.

Released 1987 and also known as 飛翔鮫 (Hishouzame). This is when Toaplan really started cooking with gas! Awesome music, addictive gameplay, and a timeless aesthetic that would later influence Seibu Kaihatsu's masterpiece Raiden series

Fantastic! This game is one of my favourite arcade shmups EVER! A masterpiece in level design, awesome music and still great fun to play even in 2023! Hats off to the original team who created this game, and good work on the emulation it feels almost as good as playing on the original arcade cabinet.

This is an incredibly difficult game, you need to memorize exactly what enemies will show up, where they shoot, their patterns etc. Not for the casual gamer. Graphics are great!

If you're new to the shoot 'em up genre, don't make this your first game. Don't even make it your 50th shmup, it's blisteringly difficult. Bullet visibility isn't very high, and while it isn't a "bullet hell," they're coming from every direction and quickly. Autofire, which was coded into the original arcade game, is actually a detriment since it's so slow. So it's all about pattern memorization. And skill. And luck. And a good joystick. As always, the Bitwave release is excellent. Runs smoothly, tons of options, top notch. 8/10
