To be honest, DIEHARD FUTURE COP LAPD SUPERFAN, its cost me friendships, and i'm okay with that. For years I've sought for any form of a remake, remaster, a sequel, or even a loosely inspired successor to no avail until I found this game (Immediately sent screenshots of the store page to some day 1 homies that understand what that game meant to me).
Before my review thank you so much for bringing this game back to life, it sincerely made my day, my week, my month, and I plan on following up for future updates(hopefully they come..).
My honest take? This game has potential and I think the new unit additions were like watching my own ideas being brought to life, although I do miss the futuristic/retro aesthetic of the original, I can appreciate the modern take. I can't shake the feeling I was playing an early access game, for me the game was pretty buggy and at frequent times unresponsive to input leading to weapons not firing and subsequently death. I don't think theres any reason for the PC Specs to be what they are, clearly the game could use some optimizing. I also miss the good old flying fortress that scoured the map looking for blue targets, v.s the one and done 50point costing bomber they have opted for instead.
If there are future updates around the corner at the top of my list would be hopefully some form of optimizations for smoother less buggy running, some more varied weapons, maybe the old ability to transform into a hover-mech, maybe some difficulty settings and the ability to change to 3rd person like the original. anyways thanks again for bringing my childhood back to life, looking forward to the future!

TLDR; It's good for some nostalgia, but the game just doesn't feel good to play. Buy it if you like supporting Future cop spinoffs, but don't expect anything groundbreaking
*The new turrets and tank types are fun and a good idea, even if there is nothing visually different about them to make them easy to identify
*The effect on Sky Captain's voice is really nice, and feels close enough to the original that I won't complain
*I only played on 2 maps, but they were basically copy/paste of eachother, so it felt pretty boring. I understand the 3 lane thing is popular for mobas since it's balanced and easy to understand, but man is it boring
*No auto-locking like in the original Future Cop means you have less feedback on if your attacks are working, especially since the attack distances are so short. I do know a red triangle appears above the unit when it is within range, but that also doesn't seem to always work, especially if the unit is moving away from you while you're attacking
*The new outpost claiming system is nice, and a good design choice, but I still have no idea how to send units from the outpost
*There's very very very little feedback when attacking or being hit. Sometimes I'll die without really knowing I was attacked to begin with
*The tanks feel too strong compared to the mech. I'd bet it'd be possible to win by just staying in your base the whole match, but I am not going to test that out.
*The weapon selection is very limited- they all seem to do the same thing. The numbers are tweaked, yes, but that's all they do. There's no mortor type weapon, no arcing electricity, no riot shield, no grenade launcher, etc. The gun is a hitscan with small range, the heavy is a projectile with a small range, and the special is an aoe with a small range (not even sure if it hits sky captain). No variety there
*The website linked for the game doesn't work, and there is no discord to contact the developers, share strategies, schedule games, etc etc. (as a note to the dev, I'd be happy to make the discord for you, but I feel like you may have abandoned the project by now)
*The multiplayer is also dead (not surprising since I was the only one playing the game at the time)
