I dont get why there are so many negative reviews... this is a great campaign, ultra next level graphics that i've not seen before.. weapons are fun to use, lots of variety. Can we have more WW2 games like this!

Played through the campaign and I can only recommend it. It is almost as good as BO6's campaign (it is top for me). The whole game is very atmospheric and the locations are beautifully crafted as usual. I really felt like going back to that era. The gunplay is not as good as the BO games, but it is good enough to have fun.
I don't think 8 hours of fun shooting and historical sightseeing worths 60$, but it is a no brainer for 20$ (on sale) for me.

My review is based on one thing: the Singleplayer campaign.
the 300 different configuration of weapons all over the levels was a bit over the top.
but they feel good. look good and sound good.
finally some under appriciated weapons we rarely see, like the Volkssturmgewehr.
maps are good looking. story is ok.

Campaign only. Story line was interesting as well as the way it was woven into the game play. Different than other CODs and took a bit if getting use to, but overall I found it enjoyable. Mapping of the keys differed from my other COD games so had to do a bit of freelance mapping. Not being able to shoot out lights and damaging or obliterating wooden items by shooting then was a downer. Finding the zombies to be a challenge.
Call of Duty: Vanguard – Surprisingly Not a War Crime
Bought it on sale, and you know what? It’s not that bad. Thank God I dodged playing it at launch—only thing I remember from back then was the Warzone 1 integration, which was a real mess.
Now, onto the good stuff:
1️⃣ Game Size – Was shocked to see it’s not a 100+GB monstrosity. Finally, a CoD that leaves me with enough space for my "totally legal and not suspicious" private files.
2️⃣ Multiplayer – Not terrible! As a devoted CoD: World at War fan, I’ve been craving a decent WW2 shooter, and this kind of fills the void. Battlefield 5 is nice, but playing it 24/7 makes me vomit. So, Vanguard? A decent alternative.
3️⃣ Seasonal Vibes – For some reason, playing WW2 shooters before May 8th just feels right. Like watching Home Alone at Christmas or Harry Potter in winter. Atmosphere kept perfectly.
4️⃣ Guns & Customization – Good selection, wild customization. You can slap so many attachments on a rifle that it starts looking like a sci-fi weapon. Love it.
5️⃣ Map Destruction – Some maps have destructible environments, which is basically CoD waving at Battlefield like "Look! We tried too!"
Now, the bad stuff:
⚠️ Perks? More like nerfs. Possibly the worst perks in CoD history.
💩 Some Maps? Absolute garbage. But hey, they brought back a few from CoD: WaW, so I guess that’s a win—too bad I can’t play them exclusively.
🔊 Weapon Sounds? I’m 99% sure they recorded them in a basement with a potato microphone. Or possibly someone’s backside.
🧟 Zombies & Campaign? Didn’t even touch them. So cannot say nothing bad.
Final Verdict: Thought it would be much worse. If you’re a WW2 shooter fan, this one’s worth it (especially on sale). Just keep your expectations lower than Battlefield 2042's player count))

Campaign achievements buggy. There are currently 8 listed as "impossible". However, after hours of grinding away at Pocket Full of Fun, it randomly popped at the beginning of the mission, so maybe you'll have the same luck! That said, if you're looking for a fun campaign style play through and don't care about stats, it's enjoyable.
