i adore this game but the way EA fucked the dev over and fail to improve the games playability is so sad. shit crashes so often but i guess EA is too busy making the 34th fifa game to care for a beloved classic

Alice: Madness Returns is more than just a game; it's a captivating, haunting reimagining of a beloved classic. I first came across this game sometime between 2012-2013??? at a local game store my brother and I would frequent. Being a fan of Alice in Wonderland with a deep love for horror, I BEGGED my brother to buy it for me for Xbox 360. I quickly found myself immersed in the dark, twisted world that Alice was navigating, playing the game nonstop as I fell deeper into its eerie charm. The story pulls you into a corrupted version of Wonderland, where Alice is dealing with the trauma of her past and facing horrors that twisted her once innocent world. The art direction and design are hauntingly beautiful, and the gameplay combines action, puzzles, and platforming in a way that feels unique and satisfying. Years later, after lending my physical copy to a friend and eventually losing touch with them (and the game), I was so happy to see that Alice: Madness Returns was available on Steam/Origin. Replaying it brings back so many memories from when I first experienced it, and the nostalgia hit me hard. The atmosphere, the characters, the dark narrative etc.
This game will forever hold a special place in my heart, and it's always my go-to answer when someone asks me what my favorite game is. It's a gem in the gaming world, a mix of beauty and madness that will stay with me forever. I am sad that Alice: Asylum will never see the light of day.

Such a unique and interesting game and concept. I love how it deals with topics such as abuse and manipulation.
Shame on EA for not letting the creator do a third and final entry.
Highly recommended!

This is an amazing game, Period.
If you're a fan of the Macabre or just Surreal horror in general, you HAVE to try this out. the Artstyle, Characters, music, and atmosphere just blend so perfectly with one another to create an unforgettable experience.
HOWEVER.
The PC Port, s one of the most Awful, most Aggravating, the most SHITTIEST Experience put apon this earth. So bad, I LITERALLY cannot finish it. The whole game is Soft-locked to a point where even if i undownload and start again, it still wont let me progress. Also its missing its DLC, a Cherry on this shit and piss cake.
WOW!, Whoda thunk!, EA Cant even port a game correctly! Wowie jee wiz!
STOP GATEKEEPING THE FRANCHISE FROM MCGEE AND GIVE IT BACK. GO BURN IN HELL AND SUCK A BIG FAT WEENIE, EA. YOU ACTUAL STINKY BASTARDS.

i do love this game, as it was one of my childhood games. however, the gameplay is awkward (especially on the steam-deck) the buttons aren’t always as directed—which is fine, but it does at times feel a lot more difficult to play. graphics r still as beautiful as ever, but because it’s a platform-jumper it can be very strenuous and annoying, i do still recommend though as the game is beautiful!

Literally a perfect game. I've been fanboying this franchise for over 10 years now. It's too sad that EA didn't allow the revival of this, but they're worthless anyway. McGee did a wonderful job, perfect theme, perfect story! I love that the main female protagonist is badass without being oversexualized as in other games. 10/10 game forever a favorite.

Great game, EA has killed off this series though and truly mishandled it.
Worth playing but it's a shame it's in the hands of such a crappy company.
