Best Tower Defence Game along with Kingdom Rush, where Kingdom Rush is fun and light, Defense Grid is more heavy and larger, more to learn, a stepper learning curve but rewarding and gives you much freedom and various options to approach each level. Love it, get the whole series on sale, ok story, stunning visual, awesome freedom to complete maps.

One of the best tower defense games out there. Loved this on Xbox back in the day and it still holds up extremely well today. Some levels can be quite challenging, requiring you to path the towers in a specific way in order to have any hope, but that's part of what makes it great!

This and Defense Grid 2 are simply the best tower defense games that I have found. I wish there was a way to randomize the alien waves so they are not always the same, because that would improve replayability. Still, these games are worth every penny and probably the very best ones to try if it's your first experience in TD.

Excellent and engaging Tower Defence game. It has a perfect learning curve and you can experiment a lot and try different tactics out. The DLC adds long term challenge. You get more than the first campaign as standard and the follow up give unrelenting challenges. It is a bit old now but still stands up as a solid and endearing TD game. Much better than its sequel although that is a decent enough game with a steeper learning curve.
If you like TD's then this is gold.
