The battle system is fun, and the art is amazing. But aside of the battle arena, there are poor game design features. The main point is that the progression of the game is not clear. You don't know what to do after the first few battles, and even if you do, it's still not clear the why.

hidden gem. magic the gathering and mystery dungeon had a lovechild and it's great. plenty of experimentation and different builds with quests to steer you to try different playstyles. my only extremely minor gripe is there doesn't seem to be a way to sell cards (you can only have 9 copies per card, and with foil variants, it doesn't seem like you can grind for that as an endgame target).
i thoroughly enjoyed my playtime so far, haven't even completed the story yet. plenty of fun with the card combinations you can create.
