this game has been an absolute treat :) the movement feels fluid and the stages are well designed with many secrets and has a good replayability factor. what makes this game really special though are the characters, there's lots to dig into from lore and the way characters interact with each other that makes it easy to get attached to! the game runs great on steam deck as well

Excellent game! Never heard anyone talk about this one and it ended up really surprising me. Great graphics, great music, great controls, surprisingly excellent writing and worldbuilding. Everyone in this game is so damn likeable and charming. Honestly one of the most underated games I've played on steam. Absolutely criminal more people aren't talking about it. Looking forward to more from this studio

This game is amazingly adorable and the gameplay is really fun. The jumping on and flipping off of enemies feels really good, and the throwing mechanic of the bell is really unique. Within no time you get really good at throwing the bell this way and that way to get through the levels faster and that's really fun. Sometimes the levels feel a little long, or there's sections where the checkpoints feel a little too far apart meaning if you keep rushing and dying you'll be replaying a part of a level alot of times. That could be just be though because I'm not a super skilled gamer. Overall this is one of my favorite games, admittedly mostly from the characters and vibe. It's just so whimsical and I love it.

Tight controls, great soundtrack, a grip of sidequests to break up the platforming, and a legitimately comical amount of post-game/hidden content. Stages are in that Goldilocks zone where they aren't so long you feel exhausted revisiting them for medals & secrets. Difficulty - mechanical difficulty that is, YMMV on some of the puzzles - is a gentle incline. Nothing here is pull-your-hair-out tier. 100%'ing this made me extremely interested in this dev's other games, both previous and upcoming. Good stuff.

Cursed Crackers: For Whom The Belle Tolls was my first experience from Colorgrave that I got the pleasure of enjoying, but boy what a pleasure it was! I am not lying when I say this is one of my favorite 2D platformers ever made and one of the most polished ones, too. The story and world are unbelievably rich and tied to the developer's two other games: "Prodigal" (2020) and "Veritus" (2024), as well as the soon to be released "Claire a la Mode". The music is impeccable too, and appropriately weighted and emotionally impactful when it needs to be, the dialogue writing is genuinely clever and brought laughs-a-plenty and, at times, even tears to my eyes. The game perfectly juggles colorful visuals and general sillyness and a starkly contrasting gloom throughout all 35 hours that it took me to 100% the game and gather up every Steam achievement. Do you know what I felt after these 35 hours? Unsated, itching to see more of these characters and this world. Some minor bugs, slightly vexing, overly mean-spirited characters and very few annoying or less thought out minor sections aside, Belle's adventure is one that shouldn't be missed. There's something here for casual gaming fans, story enjoyers and especially something for seasoned veterans and achievement craving afficianados.
Thank You So Much To The Entire Colorgrave Team <3
P.S. What are you still doing reading this? Buy this masterpiece right now!
