This version comes with the remake and the classic version of the game. The classic launches through Epic, with all of their data-stealing glory. The remake does not.
There are 12 maps advertised, but only four are available. They are small, and repetitive, but well done visually. The music is fine, the voice-acting is acceptable, the AI is brain damaged, and the game is a non-stop glitch fest (and in the 24 minutes that I played, I encountered several annoying glitches-none of which were game breaking, but all of which made me regret my purchase).
The superhero jumping abilities of the protagonist takes this out of the realm of a war-sim, and being one of the few oddities of that nature, it comes across as silly.
The gore is solid, you can rebind controls, and it is a seldom seen setting, but it just doesn't have much going for it beyond it's political message and appeal through that. That didn't bother me one bit (I play Postal, Hatred, etc), but if you take that out of it, there just isn't much left but a visually appealing and interestingly themed, but highly average shooter with a dude that can jump around like a kangaroo.
Best of luck to the dev; I respect that he did this, it just isn't for me. From the 'overwhelmingly positive' reviews, mine is obviously the unpopular minority opinion.
