An enjoyable platformer with some cool dashing mechanics instead of a standard jump, fairly short but if you go for all gold medal times you'll certainly get your moneys worth.

I played the demo for the game jam this game was made for and I was HOOKED. This game is easy to pick up and hard to master. Each level pulls you into this mix of frustrating satisfaction and pure elation as you bounce your way through hell and back. Turn on some eurobeat or some fast paced music and bounce through this absolute hidden gem of a game.

Hyperball Tachyon is an extremely addicting platformer. As others have mentioned, this is an easy to grasp but hard to master game with a small but growing competitive speedrunning community. I highly recommend this as a game to burn a few hours of time away, especially at the price.

Great game and super fun! My girlfriend doesn't play games but even she was able to get the hang of it through trial and error. The levels are just challenging enough where they are rewarding when completed and not disheartening when failed.

A challenging and fun game that really put my skills as a gamer to the test. The controls are really responsive and tight, which are integral for a game like this. The global leaderboard was a nice touch and a fun tidbit to read after each round. I would recommend this game to anyone, from novice to expert.

Quick Score: 5/5
Notes: Great physics based platformer. Feels extremely satisfying to progress, extremely high skill cap, plenty of content. The only thing thing missing right now is achievements which I'm hoping will be added soon.

A fun, simple game with a very well executed idea.
The levels have good variety and never get difficult to a stupid degree. Even the hidden levels. Some of the later levels could benefit from a checkpoint or being split in two though. I also wish there were more levels with the orange ball.
Controls are tight and there's a bunch of interesting quirks to discover that both lets you play faster and makes the levels more fun to move through. It becomes especially apparent if you go back and play early levels after beating the game.

Hyperball Tachyon is a welcomed addition to the platformer genre. With an emphasis on speed, this game cuts out the middle man and throws you straight in the action. The controls are incredibly responsive and there's a ton of room for skill expression.
After beating the game and getting most of the world record times in the first few zones, I can say without a doubt that this game is incredible. I loved how my minutes of passing the time would turn into hours of trying to optimize a level.
There's a few things missing that would solidify this as one of the best platformers out there. A few features I'd like to see in the future would be a marathon mode where you go through all the levels of a stage at once (currently there are only leaderboards for each individual level). Some form of multiplayer would be really cool to see, perhaps a race through a few randomly selected levels? The last feature I'd love to see is custom maps support, something akin to Mario Maker.
PROS:
+ Great level design
+ Easy to play
+ Fun to master
+ High replayability
+ Awesome soundtrack
CONS:
- No good way to view the leaderboards
- Missing content that would allow it compete with higher budget platformers
Overall, Hyperball Tachyon is fantastic and a must play for any fan of the platformer genre.
