I've played my fair share of VR FPS. This game has everything that I was looking for. I've been able to play with friends so I can't speak on the community, but the replayabililty is amazing. I've spend hours just messing around at the range trying different gun options and combos. Super fun game. Amazing co-op FPS

I've only played it co-op with a friend so far, but that has been a lot of fun. It's a little arcadey, but the graphics are really nice, and I enjoy that style anyways. Kinda like Time crisis, but with free movement, not on rails. Overall really fun. I definitely recommend it.

It's an actually fun vr shooter, get a friend and turn on the the higher difficulty for less spongy enemies.

i cannot recommend this game because it plays weird and might be conceptually evil. but under the right conditions it can still be fun.
evil vibes:
i have only played the coop sofar. most missions take place in "sand country" (i think it has a name but i hope/dont think its an existing country) and your objective is to murder A LOT of "roaming gang members". you are not fighting in a war or anything, you are sort of extrajudicialy killing "criminals". in the arcade mode you are mowing down the pearl clutchy concept of crime itself with miniguns while some sort of rock/metal is playing nonstop - clearly intended to make you feel like these unlawful executions are "super mega epic" or whatever.
also the leveldesign is extremely linear. there are invisible walls everywhere. you can see the enemys spawn in when you walk over a trigger. you literally just follow a yellow line on the ground. there are bosses with incredible amounts of health, shooting them takes forever and feels dumb. playing the first missions in arcade mode felt a bit gross and just wasnt fun. but gladly you dont have to play this way.
how to still have fun:
step 1: turn off the ingame music
step 2: grab a friend new to vr shooters and immediatly start playing only in realism mode
step 3: accept that the game was not balanced for realism mode seemingly at all and enjoy the chaos/challange
why it beeing kinda bad is actually great:
one of the earlier levels we played this way was not set in "sand country tm" but in a snowy outpost with the densest fog you have ever seen. there are guns with thermal scopes placed in the level but you loose them by dying and cant return to the part of the level where you got them if you already have advanced to the next. we spent half an hour sharing a single sniper with a thermal scope, trying to get past a perticularly impossible part of the level. learing every enemy spawn. acting as spotter/medic if it wasnt your turn with the gun. crawling on the ground to escaping the constant sniperfire. normaly your gun just snaps to your holster if you let go of it but since we had to use a gun found in the level we hat to be extremely careful not to loose it. we had to take breaks behind our digital cover because our hands started to hurt from holding on to the gun constatly (the toggle mode in this game is basicly unusable because if its turned on you have to toggle-grab even during the reload motions).
i dont think this was the intended experience at all but sitting on the floor of my apartement, attempting to throw the one gun we both shared from my cover to my friends, terrified it might end up laying in the line of enemy fire, hearing nothing but distant gunshots in the fog was really great. later levels come without the fog, a lot more enemys and you can use your own guns again (because no fog) but this tense, hypercooperative way to play is still there.
you will have enemys walking against invisible walls and triggerpoints for enemy spawns right in the open which is insane if you can drop from just one hit but this just makes you rely more on your coop partner -which is honestly great.
too much text, short versions please:
i dont know if arcade mode is balanced better, i just had zero fun playing it and therfore didnt. but realism mode is a bit of a trainwreck for sure. luckily its a trainwreck you have to help each other out of which can be really rewarding and exciting.

This is much more like a cover shooter than I expected. You walk point to point and then peak around and hold points from enemies then you move to another cover area and repeat the process. I liked the experience but I expected a more traditional fps like zero caliber.
