Amazing story. Immaculate worldbuilding. Beautiful animation. Beautiful simplicity. Dialogue that lives with you. 1 point off for how broad the ending is. I want a better conclusion. It does not have to for the good. I just wanted to fight. Maybe you will too. See for yourself. 9/10.

It's a visual novel with a great story and very reduced gameplay. Anyone who values a continuous, exciting and very in-depth narrative will definitely be well served here. An indie game that can be supported without question.

The best thing about this game is the art, definitely cyberpunk but with a soft, cozy feel and very cinematic animation. Nice sound design. The story is interesting too, though it doesn’t go full “AI takeover” thankfully. Some loose ends are left in the story, so sequel bait? I hope so!
The game is like an interactive comic book, but choices do matter (though mostly towards the end). At first, you’ll be doing more walking than a glitched NPC to get to know the map layout, but once you get towards the middle of the story, things pick up pretty quickly.
Speaking of glitches, I did encounter a few, like when my character decided to float out of the map and face the wrong direction during the hardest combat scene in the game... but can't complain, it made the fight way more fun! Also, frustrating that side quests aren't available when creating new save files from completed chapters (unless you replay former chapters where the prerequisite tasks to unlock that side quest were already completed)... frustrating, but manageable. It's not like the game crashed.
TL;DR: Great art and sound design with an interesting enough plot. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys cinematic/choices-matter/visual novel games!

While this looks interesting, sadly you have to play until you reach a save point like this was some sort of game from the 1990s. I cannot recommend any game that disrespect my time and the devs expect me to play at their pace. It's 2025, if your simple point and click adventure can't save almost any time, then your game is already fail.

This was a very interesting game. Given the subject matter and genre, I have to say that the story both subverted and exceeded my expectations.

This is a truly excellent experience, but not much of a game. The only real gameplay comes in the form of occasional QTEs and being able to walk and run around a few scattered areas. The rest of the game exists solely in dialogue choices and clicking through speech bubbles.
For what it is, though, I absolutely loved my time with Minds Beneath Us. The story is drenched in morally-grey, neon-lit, rain-soaked cyberpunk goodness, and there are some moments that really deliver the fear of immensity that only very few sci-fi works can stir in me. I also found the story and the ending to raise a lot of satisfying philosophical questions which don't always have answers (as good philosophical questions shouldn't).
If you like sci-fi stories and don't mind heavy-on-reading, light-on-gameplay experiences, you cannot do better than this.

This game was a blast to play. From the very close to our reality cyberpunk dystopia in which poor people are put in flop farms that use their brain to power up AI and to the corporation, government and workers dynamics. There are a lot of dynamics at play here (MBU'S, your new Job, Future Wife, Espionage and Morality) which were really well mixed and played (even if you don't get all the answers you were hoping for). There are some minor flaws in the translation (which will be likely patched up in the future) and a game based on choices some of the dialogue options you choose give you the same answer(essentially being meaningless). The game is mostly reading with some very nice visuals and I think it was a good design choice to make the characters not have faces (they can still display a ton of emotions just by body movement alone). I Recommend buying this at full price.

Sometimes, things can be summed up easily. If you like visual novel style narratives and examining cyberpunk esque dystopia. Stop here. My verdict is simple.
It's damn good.
Edit: Having finished the game, I definitely recommend it to people who like this genre and also world even more so than before. However, I would be remiss to not list that the latter third of the story feels a tad rush and that hampers enjoyment just a little. But that's all! Worth a purchase!
