Initially this turn-based deck-builder was quite different from what it is now. No party to speak of, and simpler mission structure. Returning to it now, the overall feel is the same, but with a selectable party (once unlocked), good yet straightforward alchemy, meta equipment systems, and a recognizable robust mission select. The combat is quite smart, with many avenues of card strategy. If a character in the party goes down, while they are down, their specific collection of cards is unavailable for the remainder of the run; things can still be done, albeit with more difficulty.
A consistent backing trait of Deepest Chamber is the animation: *very* high quality work makes the experience rewardingly gritty to behold.
If you enjoy 'Slay The Spire' style contests with more serious veneers, Deepst Chamber will prove quite fun. Good to see that this one turned out so well.

Good game, but a bit too easy. I am yet too loose a single run while being on the fifth difficulty.
