This is like that first scene of Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy flashed out into an amazing short game

Despite its mobile-game appearance, this is a proper murder mystery experience except that you're trying to solve the mystery before anyone else does and convince the authorities of your guilt. The dialog is clever without being too proud of itself and doesn't waylay you with huge blocks of text, it also has some quite insightful commentary that never veers into a lecture. The characters are well-rounded and will take several play-throughs to see every facet of their nature. They are also nicely tuned in that almost everyone is understandably bad, they have reasons for their behavior instead of being simply good or evil, allowing you to feel either guilt or glee if you choose to dispatch them. Opportunities are presented clearly, allowing you to feel smart when you figure out a combination of events that solves a problem and there are often multiple solutions. Things move quickly enough that starting each new game doesn't feel like a chore and there's a rewind button for scenes in case you want to make a different choice or clicked the wrong option by mistake. And if you find yourself stuck you can always go below and talk to god. No really.

Really fun looping game - it's an interesting very well thought out loop that feels super satisfying to slowly make it through. It had a lot of personality and I'm honestly even more excited they're making a sequel, because this feels like a very sharp proof of concept I'd love to see expanded. $15 is a biiiiit expensive for an ending you can hit in like 2 hours, and even the extra content only gets you to 4-5 hours, so good for a sale pickup for sure
