I wouldn't say its compatible with the vive. Holding weapons wants you to lean the controller forwards. Very uncomfortable. Hopefully they fix it and add index support.

It's a fun game. The weapon mechanics are simple, and it runs smoothly.

I was pleasantly surprised by this game. It's like Medal of Honor in low poly. The light effects are beautiful and not something you expect to see in a low poly game. Background voices/ambient sound is good but sound effects are bad to average. AI is bad, sometimes really very bad. And yet, I'm not sure why, but I kept playing and playing until mission 12 without taking a single break. I like the weapon loading, the pace, the very high frame-rate (compared to Medal of Honor), and the beautiful blend of realistic skies, weather effects, the amazing light flares from various sources, mixed with the the low poly environment and soldiers. A strange, but interesting and actually beautiful blend. The game itself is casual and simple, yet entertaining with a nice variety of missions. I think it's better suited for an Oculus Quest audience that only plays native Quest games. And if the AI would have been a bit better and the sound effects, then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to PCVR gamers too, but in it's current state... I enjoyed it, but I don't think most pc masterrace gamers will agree ;). I love the art and the missions are fun, but I have to be honest, so I can't recommend it here, but I would definitely recommend it in the Oculus Quest store for gamers without a PC.

Know what you buy. Its a neat little game, that delivers what it promises (regarding the pictures) but not more: simple graphics, many different levels, kind of a story line, and it can make you wanting to play just >one< more level and then maybe another one. Of course its far form beeing HL Alyx and does not offer deep mechanics. But it is interesting, refreshing, and I hade fun.

Quite a fun game! The guns need some weights and recoil...but enjoying it so far!

I enjoyed playing this quite a bit. It's kinda like a WWII lego game.
Only real glitch I had an issue with was loading/cocking the pistols. Because of the way the occulus controller is, you can't seem to really grab the slide before hitting the controllers together.

Absolutely one of the most entertaining games on the platform. I loaded it up expecting an average shooter but was greeted with a phenomenal d-day landing sequence that had me ducking for cover over and over again.
The story is entertaining and despite being kid friendly, Days of Hero's is a fantastic ride that you hope never ends. It is definitely a contender that is reminiscent of Operation Serpens. Do yourself a favor and buy this game.
Played on the Oculus Quest 2 with link without issue.

I really like this game, it's a hidden (slightly rough) gem. There's obviously lots of love for the WW2 subject matter - don't let the use of store-bought assets or slight translation issues scare you away. There's tons of great WW2 set pieces and cool VR ideas packed into this game. From raiding Omaha beach, parachuting out of planes, manning Pak anti-tank guns, stationary MG42s, using radios to call in airstrikes, and more, this feels like CoD 1 or 2 in VR. There's an emphasis on being surrounded by allied soldiers which is something Medal of Honor Above and Beyond was lacking. It's really cool to be low on health but see a friendly medic, run over to him, and grab a bandage off his backpack to heal with while blasting away one-handed with a Thompson in my other hand.
There are a few issues though, but nothing show stopping for me. Namely, there isn't a health indicator - it can feel like you sometimes just die randomly thinking you had more health than you actually did. Also, the sound effects are a weak spot. While the sounds create a very hectic and "loud" warzone soundscape, your weapons feel quiet and underpowered. Everything has a "flat" sound, so picking people off with an M1 Garand or clearing a room with a BAR isn't every as satisfying as it should be. Never the less, when a really large battle is happening (which is most of the time), the lack of distinct sound effects helps make things feel appropriately chaotic - it's just a blend of gunfire and explosions.
All in all, this is a game that I can tell was made by someone who really loves WW2 history and wanted to capture some of the magic games like CoD and MoH had in VR. It's a tall order by an indie studio (or individual), and I think the love shines through. The gameplay is serviceable at worst, and sometimes pretty darn fun at best. Hardly perfect, but easy to play, easy to love, and easy to recommend to WW2 buffs. VR hardcore buffs might not like this one, but if you have an affinity for WW2 like I do, you should be able to easily overlook any rough spots and enjoy the many great offerings this game has.

Great fun, and fantastic value for the price! I would love to see left handed support, but certainly not a deal breaker. Highly recommend.
Also bear in mind the the majority of negative reviews are for lack of index support... but support isn't listed. So shouldn't be a surprise. And I think unfair to leave a negative review for not having something it never claimed to have.

First impressions. This game could be a LOT of fun, but it needs a little polish. It really feels like an early access game.
Enhancements I think would improve the overall play are...
Sprint button needed.
Instead of 'walk' signs in the war zones, a way point indicator/compass (maybe flip over wrist to see it) would be much better.
More contrast/color difference on enemy vs allied uniforms.
Magazine eject button.
Crouch/stand button for seated play.
In-game options menu with ability to have motion sickness relation options such as foveated view, etc.
I think these few things would go a long way to making the game a bit more polished. I will post more when I've played a little more.
