Edit after beating the game
I think I judged this game a little unfairly (hehe get it, it's Exorcist FAIRy). I gave a negative review just because of 2 bad zones (don't get me started about the electric gate and mana orbs, just look into community guides for that). Enough disclaimers. In the end I did enjoy this game. I like the combat even if it's repetitive and sometimes unfair and normal enemies become damage sponges. I like the character design and a good chunk of a level design. If you enjoy 2D action like Hollow Knight or Dust give it a try. If you don't then.. idk you do you.

Look I really want to like this game. I love metroidvanias and platformers and this Hollow Knight type of combat. The beginning is fun and has somewhat unique and diverse enemies and bosses that have traits of monsters in the area.
BUT
After presumably half of the game when you go to he fire area and the wall climbing area the balance and level design fall apart. Sticking to a wall has no rules, works 50% of the time, every button gets you off the wall sometimes additionally activating the ability assigned to that specific button, e.g. you let go and cast fireball or let go and waste your double jump.
That is also the point where diversity of enemies ends. Everything is just a more annying version of an enemy you saw before, and it would be fine if you had better movement or damage at that point, but no. I don't feel like sword upgrades do anything. Maybe after 2 upgrades enemies die with one hit less, but at that point there's just a swarm of them and they are spongy as hell. And don't get me started on bosses that are just a patience test. You either learn EVER SINGLE MOVE in their arsenal or you die from 2 hits, because they deal so much damage for no reason and they give you no time to heal (wasted 4 gourd upgrades since you can't use it most of the time).
Again I really want to like this game. I enjoyed the graphics, design and laughed at broken english translation. It just feels like the creators gave up at some point or run out of ideas.
