At it's core this is really good. This draws you in whether it's the story or just exploring; wanting to look around every corner to see what cool thing is possible to find. It still needs some cooking- some fine tuning and optimization. But so far I'm all the way in on this.

Yep, its peak. I love the elements of H.R. Giger which rarely shine through. The world is really interesting and I'm looking forward to every dungeon I delve in. Also the soundtrack is great.

It crashes constantly but by golly this game is so awesome I restart it immediately every time it does. Would recommend.

I really like the atmosphere of this game, and the idea of finding better loot at night time with the increased difficulty and how the night time can transform enemies. I don't like the balance in this game stamina management with melee is more punishing than dark souls which makes using a bow and arrow far superior because you can just one shot enemies that are far away from you and not encounter any of the downfalls of melee.

Really excited to see where this game goes. I played the first time at early access launch and just wasn't impressed. Picked it up again over the weekend and things have gotten much better. The mechanics are intuitive, the story engaging and there is a lot to go though. I even appreciate the difference in the day/night mechanic for enemy strength. Leave a dungeon at night and you could be bombarded by the ghosts of all those you killed getting there in the first place. That makes it feel dynamic and alive.

I don't get why people keep comparing this game to others like "this game is like X" Nah, this game is unique, and that's exactly why It's fun and refreshing to play. Give it a go, it's not perfect but definitely refreshing.

This game is like Gothic mixed with a bit of Skyrim. As of now, the first area (quests etc. complete) is a ton of fun. I've already gotten my money's worth on just one playthrough (15 hours, 2-hander heavy armor build). There's enough sandboxy fun to go a few more runs to try out different builds and possibly different quest decisions. I won't lie, the performance isn't great. The game is definitely still a work in progress. I didn't crash once, but I did run into a few bugs. And there is a bit of jank. All things considered, it is definitely a project to wishlist.

If this game was full of bugs I should've taken it for Skyrim. So good it is. Now seriously - the game is really awesome, all the good stuff from Skyrim and minus some of the annoying features. - I find the interface better. - The combat is more tactical and more challenging than Skyrim imo. - Crafting, cooking, alchemy, sleeping, all check - Voice acting & music are descent - Story looks interesting - lots of lore to read - Variety of possible builds from melee to archer or mage or melee mage - Performance - solid. Actually the game looks like Skyrim, so you don't need supercomputer to run it on full max settings anyway. - What I couldn't find - how to adjust the mouse settings inside the game. I think once finished, it will deliver some real good quality time. My compliments to the Questline studio and the devs. Money well spent!

The game is still in Early Access for a bit longer, and HUGE HEADS UP: THERE WILL BE A SAVE SCRUB BEFORE FINAL RELEASE. With all of that said, I can't recommend this game enough. It's Tool (the band), Scorn, a little bit of Geiger and Skyrim all mixed into one. It's a double AA game, but gives you the content that most triple AAA games gave up on in favor of repetitive copy / paste slop quests. This is the only game I've played since Skyrim and Hogwarts Legacy where I actually got that old Skyrim / Oblivion feeling from. It does have its shortcomings though, because it is still in Early Access. It's not just a slasher game, the enemies have a lot of health, hit hard, and you do feel the need to level up, explore, and get stronger tools to take out the enemies. However, if you give it a bit of time, I think you won't regret your purchase. Studios these days care more about their cash shop or their battle pass than they do about us, gamers. For the first time, in a very long time, I feel this studio's passion and love for their game as well as desire to give their customers a huge fulfilling adventure. We shouldn't be punching down on those studios, we should be lifting them up. This is definitely one, imo, that deserves to be lifted up.

This is not Indie Skyrim, do not buy it expecting such. This feels much more like an attempt at a first person Dark Souls, with Witcher 3 DNA stapled on with the Alchemy and fast travel system. That isn't to say the game is bad. In the currently available version, it's just punishing. Even on Easy it's not uncommon to feel overwhelmed, and the game is not above doing some straight up mean stuff. For example, in an early dungeon, the enemioes are mostly standard undead. However towards the end of the dungeon a mini boss will activate, which attacks slow, but with deceptive range, and a long lasting hitbox on one of it's attacks that can trick you into running back into your death. The enemy deal massive amounts of damage. On Easy, specced out in mostly heavy armor, I can just barely survive one hit. And the enemy is fairly tanky by the standards of the game. Ironically the actual "boss" of the dungeon went down in two hits with no real chance to fight back because he was just a guy. The menu layouts could use some work, they aren't always intuitive or pretty, weapons are presented as a blob of every weapon you own, which includes tools like fishing rods and shovels. That being said, this is EA, and the full release is soon. And from the previews some if not all of this is addressed. Actually discovering new armor sets, spells, and weapons is fun, actually fighting is fun (when you don't leave a dungeon and are immediately thrown to the mercy of 7+ wyrdspawn because it's night time and you didn't check the clock before you left.) Big tips for playing, save before and after leaving a dungeon, save when you arrive at a location, and especially early on, save when you find enemies. Loot all the food you can, hunt monsters during the day, fight humans at night for their drops. Try to keep enough Webs to fuel your campfire at all times, in case you're in a bad spot and really can't risk another fight. Game is worth a try, and full release looks awesome.
