game plays smoothly, the default controls are baffling as to why the most important ability being the back air dash is on L3 >.> after rebinding had zero issues with movement. For a speedrun game there's a lot of leap of faiths or just being blindsided by off-scene enemies, which this is a stop and look down button which for a game meant to be speedrun might as well not exist.
movement is interesting seems to have some momentum but is mostly just jumping and back air dashing, jump attacking. You can boost off enemies for speed.
I greatly enjoy the platforming it plays smoothly if you get the rhythm correct. The bosses fights are less to be desired where I have literally had no idea what a bosses attack was as it blurrs the screen and I just apparently lost health. There is very little telegraphing the bosses attacks. Since your attack is extremely melee range finding any opening where they dont immediately hit you back becomes frustrating.
Having a life system and being forced to replay several minutes of long levels to get back to a boss where I sometimes cannot even tell how it's damaging me seems overly punishing for a poorly designed fight with no consistent difficulty. I have had bosses that I can first try and optimize the time and then zero idea how to even approach fighting the next because the design is unclear.
The enemies in the level frequently blend into the background where I would hit them simply because I could not tell the were there.
The game is enjoyable as a platformer plays very similarly to dogurai if it were to have a back air dash
Its good as a platformer not so much with the boss fighting, its fun but frustruating in a unfair way. Would enjoy it more without the bosses.
When I can play through the serveral minutes of platforming perfectly then lose to the second worlds main boss 20 times its infuriating. Why have lives that make you replay the entire section over again because a boss killed me with an invisible move.
The third level of city was by far the best would have preferred the rest of the game to be like it xD

It's a neat little platformer. There's some jank around the edges, and the English translation could use some work. I enjoyed my time with it.

Not a *great* game by any stretch...but at the price point, I think we've all payed more for less.
( Read the "Controls and Movement" portion further below if you *do* end up getting this game.)
Game can be beaten in under two hours, not counting the Boss Rush and Time Attack features you unlock once you beat the game for the first time. Which isn't *much,* but hey.
Levels are artificially big due to having wide open areas and long stretches without much going on, and little variety in stage mechanics and gimmicks. The visual design takes the same "minimalism:" there's really just not a lot going on. It's pretty for a little while and then it gets stale.
Controls and movement are a mixed bag.
- Jump is consistently floaty, and you get the same height no matter if you hold the key/button down or quickly tap it. This game being a platformer, this feels like a real miss.
- Wall jumping is also clumsy; you have to wait until the top of your jump arc to actually *stick* to the wall, and THEN you can jump, which just slows everything down.
+ The game has a "Dodge" it doesn't tell you about, and which isn't mapped to one of the four face buttons like everything else is.....but it WORKS MID-AIR. Once I figured this out, it opened up a lot of possibilities for movement.
++ There's also a "Coyote Jump"...? Which I'm certain wasn't intentional, but try running off an edge, and then jumping as you're falling. This also stacks with the double jump you get later on in the game. Combined with the air dodge, you can end up feeling pretty good as you whiz past some portions of the game I'm certain weren't intended to be skipped.
+++ While floating through the game like this, I ended up clipping through the sides of certain platforms and bypassing enemies completely. Potential speedrun tactic?
?> The attack response is actually immediate, with a surprisingly generous hurtbox, but the animation / visual feedback is delayed by a few frames, so it feels really awkward and unresponsive. It's easy to get used to, but it always feels awkward.
Eh. It's a game, alright.

Beautiful game, yet simple to control but not easy, if you understimate its difficulty, you will get punished.
Nice soundtrack, and pretty pixel art.

I really do love the game and I can highly recommend it! It may be a bit small, but it's definitely worth the money to invest. There's a nice and smooth Gameplay and although the game has just three worlds, each world is quite challenging and takes a few tries to beat. To be honest, I'd like, if the bosses are going to get some more moves ;) However, all in all I'm really fascinated by this game and it's a pity, that it is that unknown. I do hope, that this is going to change one day! Amazing work, EinzigartigGames!

Very good Jump n' Run platformer. I really enjoyed the level design of the game because it felt something special.
The controls were smooth and didnt had any problems with a XBOX-Controller.
The only thing, which I hated was that you had to start over, from the beginning of the world, it is painful and annoying if you just had bad luck or you wanted to see how the boss "works".
Overall a fun game with frustration factor.

First project from the dev apparently, who I gather made it on his own. Pretty dang good for a solo first project. It doesn't feel as speedrunning friendly as it lets on however, with pretty unpolished walljumping and no real useful mobility options other than the standard platformer basics of left, right, and jump. It felt like more of a punishing game than anything, and with no way to regenerate health in a level, some enemies and obstacles really kill the pacing. They can either slow you down to a crawl in order to deal with them, or you just have to take a hit to get by, which can prove to be a poor move if you slip up even in the slightest in some spots. Combined with the poor walljumping and mobility, the game is less hard and challenging, and more something you'll just slog through the first few times around in order to figure out what you have to deal with for the level. Don't go in expecting a game built for speedrunning, but rather a game that can be speedran. If you're not into speedrunning and are going to play for the experience, its another pixel graphics 'retro' themed platformer, albeit with more care put into it than most others. Really just wish it controlled better, then maybe you could have a chance at actually getting around some enemies without having to facetank.

In the short amount of time I can say it is truly an amazing game that has huge potential to consume my time hours if not days. It has controller support an to me that alone blasts my enjoyment of it to the sky, I am not a huge fan of mouse an keyboard. I would highly recommend this to my friends who enjoy platforming games as it has the experiences of all the great classics.

I could go into more depth for this, but I want to keep the review fairly simple. Game has a fun idea marred by bad game design. Levels are far too long and empty feeling, have badly placed enemies and hazards, enemies are risky to kill if they take more than one hit because of the abysmal melee attack range, bosses are either too easy or too hard, there's no inbetween or consistency. The game has no real great score to keep things moving, poor translation that makes it difficult to read, and has difficult resuming after being paused. There are numerous other errors I could mention, but I don't think this game is really worth picking up other than to have a furry platformer...which, there's probably much better games out there for that.
