Vertigo is one of those games that really need a category in-between "recommended" and "not recommended". It's a kind of a mediocre shooter without anything to make it stand out, except in VR. Also for me joystick walking controls were all sorts of messed up, the game often getting confused about where my character was supposed to be moving. Ultimately gonna be a thumbs down from me since it's way overrated on Steam. This is a 6.5/10 game at best, not 93% positive.

Legalzinho, mas curto e sem muita variedade de armas. Vertigo 2 tem muito mais coisas, mas o esse é barato e vale a pena jogar

a good introduction before vertigo 2! both games (havent finished the 2nd yet) focus on the gameplay more than the physics being the most realistic, which makes them both feel really good. the physics are also amazing which shows how good the gameplay must feel

I have never played a VR game that felt more like an actual GAME in my entire time playing VR...this was incredible, and hilarious, there was a scene about an hour before the end of the game that broke my brain and made me laugh half to death, 10/10 game 100% recommend you play this if you have a VR headset!

It's a pretty good game. Has a bunch of issues though. I felt that the start of the game was kinda boring, but it picks up later on, and the final section is very fun. Unfortunately there isn't really a story here besides "get out". The highlights for me are the boss fights and some of the guns. Nothing crazy, but it's decent fun. There's a lot of strange decision in the design of this game however. First of all, the game never tells you that there is in fact a pause menu (Double press B on Index), and the fact that there is an upgrade tree. It tells you that you should collect the orange goo, but never what it is for. I had to look in the Steam Discussions to find this out. Then, when you encounter first enemies, you are not given a weapon, so I just ran past enemies until I found a gun. At which point I discovered I had a melee lightsaber thing, which I didn't know how I got it, or why the game, again, never told me about it. Looking at a walkthough video, apparently I skipped the section where you pick it up by just jumping up. Then there's are some nitpicks - The ambiance in the first level is close to non existent. You are walking for an hour in quiet rooms and huge open areas. No music, no sound effects, just a humming noise. It does get better though, and the music also becomes awesome by the end. The first boss fight with the lightsaber was kinda fun, but at the same time I had to reflect the bolts for so long that I started questioning if I am doing something wrong, or its bugged or what. Weapons in your hand, especially the teleporter, have a weird delay to their movements, which doesn't feel great. That being said, aiming was fairly easy to do (and stable for the most part). VR-world interactions are also decent, you can hit buttons with your guns. The art, level and sound design are kinda simplistic. In conclusion, it's very short for the asking price, but if picked up on a sale there's decent fun to be had here.

Pretty good game, shooting enemies is enjoyable and very fun. Good variety of levels and gameplay situations. But its also very short. So, the next stop is Vertigo 2!
