Well, i can say with certainty that this isnt competing with squad or HLL or really any tactical shooter on the market. The gunplay is fine, the audio is downright terrible at a distance, and its nowhere near as good looking of a game as its contemporaries. I'm genuinely kind of angry that i paid money for this, considering for months I've been hearing how the dev branch is so much farther ahead than the base game. In short, its not. Its got a half baked revive mechanic, the audio sucks and i cant find any real reason to come back to this anytime soon. Maybe things will improve upon "release", but as it stands this is a hollow shell of a shooter with none of the core mechanics actually fleshed out. Even dying feels bad in this game, as it just boots you to a menu unceremoniously with all the audio from your corpse screaming through your ears. even in games that do this well (war of rights, squad etc) there is some level of sounds effects/filtering that make it feel like your just a corpse laying on the ground. gunplay is uninspiring, and gunshots far off legitimately still sound terrible (an issue that has been with the game since its steam release). Maybe theres a shitload of fixes that completely overhauls the game come the 28th, but i highly doubt that. The only reason this game has positive reviews is because the base edition is free, and the dev is giving away dozens of keys on twitter in some form of marketing. if this game was even 5 dollars it would be trashed relentlessly in the reviews. I guess you get what you pay for when you go free, but if your even thinking about spending your cash on it stay far away. Its at best an undercooked, soggy pizza of a game that needs far more time in the oven to ever compete with the big boys like squad, HLL, or really any other tactical shooter. How people ever imagine this competing with them is probably the funniest thing of all, its pure copium.
