Destroying is still enabled while dragging items around in your inventory. My chest got eaten up and the items inside exploded everywhere, some getting stuck in the walls.
Hitting creatures in combat is annoying.
Gameplay is boring and repetitive, having to go on random fetch quests across islands miles apart.

Game has 5 hrs or less content, depends. I completely the game is 4 hrs. Knocked out all the achievements and built a decent size base! Lacks lots of content, seems like an alpha.

I regret to say that I haven't found much to enjoy with this game. It's derivative (basically another Minecraft/Terraria wannabe). It's painfully unoptimized (despite the retro graphics, the framerate chugs on my PC). The game world feels lonely, and your actions without consequence. It's simply not fun in the way sandbox games can be.

I do and don't enjoy Nira, although i mostly enjoyed it, yet it lacked a lot. After about 5 hours playtime the game was a chill survival experience with the only anger coming from when i would accidentally break my chests while trying to loot them.
The world building is very bland, it would be nice to see it in more high scale somehow yet it just seems to be a bunch of islands all that look and have the exact same things on them, wildlife is bland and just runs away all the time, there's no incentive to not just murder the wandering traders to take there loot, leaving there to be no reason not to. The "dungeons" are extremely lame, just thrown into a cramped space with a random assortment of guns that don't seem to shoot anywhere you want them to and just being bombarded by enemies non-stop.
The crafting seems pointless for some objects, like food. Id rather just wander with my cooked meat than try and forage for berries. And the amount of XP needed to achieve the better loot or even the air plane had me bored grinding the dungeons and i just can't be bothered to achieve it.
Overall the world just seems dead with nothing to explore, house building is tedious and irritating at times. I would 100% recommend waiting for a sale if you were to buy this game, since it really only has about 40 minutes of content until you'll feel satisfied with what you've done.

This is a nice pixel survival game , but not good enough . I real like this game , so I share my feeling .
Good part : )
1 . Pixel is beautiful , simple block can tell you what is it in the game .
2 . Easy to go , every thing you need to learn that you can find in the menu .
Bad part :(
1 . Missions are kind boring , find this find that , then give you some exps . I fight in the night with monsters can get more , it is good in the beginning but useless after . Maybe add some different missions will be fun .
2 . Some bugs in language , I play in Chinese after 7 hours then game crash , so I have to start in English .
3 . No map , I know this game try to make us explore the world by bear hands , how about a tiny auto map .
4 . Zombies attack too fast , maybe slower and add different kinds zombie in game , some can run , some can boom , some can swim . Do not put everyone in the water , only I can not swim , unfair...... And add some danger animals like snake or bear , not big monster squeezed out some jelly beans .
5 . Too many fish to eat , they make my bag full and I only eat meat , maybe just one kind fish .
6 . Bgm , this game bgms too hero style , add some relax musics .
7 . Weapons , no need guns , I think in the wild world some cold weapons just enough .
8 . World , where I stand got 3 or 4 floors , if I stand behind blocks or trees , I can not see myself , maybe make them half invisible when player behind . Even cancel high floor , just one flat floor or add a jump button .
9 . Add some thing to drink , add some new weapons like Boomerang , add some easy house mods player can choose and build , make learn skills in a note book , more different world map .
See , this game is unlimited possibilities , I real hope this game better in the future , if you like survival game and pixel style , try it . Maybe not good enough but still got 85/100 .

Nira is a pixel based survival rpg where you collect materials to upgrade your tools, armor, weapons, and other various things. You can fish, craft, hunt, tame animals, farm, fly, fight in a dungeon to name a few of the things you can do in Nira. It has a charming pixel art style which drew me into buying the game. The reason I don't recommend the game is because there is really no reason to do any of this. There isn't anything that drives the player to get better gear or do much. The amount of content at the moment just isn't even close to what should or could be in the game. You can get the best tools and weapons/gear all within 30-45 minutes of playing the game. I am aware that Baseline Games is a solo developer and it is hard to release lots of content solo. I really wanted to enjoy Nira, but the lack of any sort of goal in the game and lack of content said otherwise. With Nira's current state I would not recommend the game. ̶I̶f̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶ ̶d̶o̶ ̶e̶n̶j̶o̶y̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶s̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶e̶a̶r̶l̶y̶ ̶a̶c̶c̶e̶s̶s̶ ̶s̶p̶e̶c̶i̶f̶i̶c̶a̶l̶l̶y̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶i̶v̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶d̶e̶v̶e̶l̶o̶p̶e̶r̶ ̶f̶e̶e̶d̶b̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶d̶i̶r̶e̶c̶t̶l̶y̶ ̶i̶n̶f̶l̶u̶e̶n̶c̶e̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶m̶a̶y̶ ̶r̶e̶l̶e̶a̶s̶e̶d̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶I̶ ̶r̶e̶c̶o̶m̶m̶e̶n̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶.̶ ̶B̶a̶s̶e̶l̶i̶n̶e̶ ̶G̶a̶m̶e̶s̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶c̶o̶r̶d̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶a̶ ̶g̶r̶e̶a̶t̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶c̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶a̶l̶k̶ ̶a̶b̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶d̶i̶r̶e̶c̶t̶l̶y̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶d̶e̶v̶e̶l̶o̶p̶e̶r̶.̶ ̶H̶e̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶v̶e̶r̶y̶ ̶g̶o̶o̶d̶ ̶a̶t̶ ̶l̶i̶s̶t̶e̶n̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶w̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶l̶a̶y̶e̶r̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶n̶k̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶c̶a̶r̶e̶s̶ ̶a̶b̶o̶u̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶g̶a̶m̶e̶ ̶d̶e̶e̶p̶l̶y̶.̶
EDIT/TLDR: This game officially is not receiving anymore content updates. The amount of content is that of a game in early alpha (next to none). The systems fumble over themselves and there is no reason to play the little content that there is in the game because you can walk into a dungeon within 30 seconds of playing or find a chest with a gun which are the best weapons in the game. There are lots of bugs and the UI is unintuitive. If BaselineGames had stuck with this product for another year or two I am sure it could have been something special but BaselineGames has stood firm on their statement that they are not adding anymore content. This game should be worth 99 cents. Do not buy this game. You will be disappointed as I was.

Interesting art design but wonky combat and quite a few annoying bugs. Tutorial helper pop up is super annoying and repetitive. Inventory chest get destroyed just by looking in them. Shark is ridiculously fast... cant even grab a resource by the water. Crafting system does not make sense... crude items and guns from level 1? Tier 1 armour has a 15 durability but broke after 2 hits... Definitely still an early access game. Hopefully things get fixed over time.

Nira is a pixel based RPG which heavily reminds me of the old Holy Grail on the Atari 800 from back in the 80s.
The price is very generous for the content, hard time, and updates to come.
I purchased this game moment it was released as I could not bare to be without Nira once the beta ended.
I had the opportunity to play this game and help with debugging and suggestions along with many others who helped out as well.
The game is quite simple to learn, and very enjoyable. It's one of those games you start playing then realize the day flew by.
The developer is very friendly, and can be reached on discord as well as he spends most of the time talking with other players and updating constantly.
As for the game, you directly control a character and can even have friends join you. The more who help, the faster you level up.
Pros
...You have plenty of quests to do.
...monsters and bosses to fight.
... Lots of building, and resources very easy to come by.
Weapons from swords to guns, easy to manufacture.
...Wandering NPCs to trade those hard to find items.
...You can own your own pet and taming is quite easy.
...Leveling system is unique and exp spending, well lets just leave this to other players. Don't want to mention everything.
More to come.

I understand that this game is still really new, and bugs are inevitable, but there are a few I've found that I have no idea how they got past anyone testing the game. This game has a lot of potential, but there are things that just seem off, and it feels like the game was rushed. First off, when I got into my world for the first time I noticed that the world generation was messy. Rather than separating different biomes into their own area, it was kinda just, snow patch here, desert there, with very little area of each one. The animals that should be exclusive to each of them were wandering around and had clustered up together at times. The next thing I noticed was how weird the hit boxes for everything was, I would shoot a skeleton right in front of me, and nothing would happen. When I tried to pick up an item, even as I was standing right over it, it wouldn't pick up, I had inventory space, and it would pick up if I moved around a little more, but it was REALLY inconsistent. The most frustrating glitch by far though, was that chests don't store, I put a single item in, no problem, but I put another in and the chest breaks for no reason. The chest in the dungeon had no problem, not because it was spawned in by the game though, as I also found a chest in the overworld, which had been broken and all it's contents on the floor. Glitches aside, the other thing this game lacks in many ways is originality. The dungeon portals look almost identical to a Minecraft nether portal, and sound effects from turnip boy commits tax evasion were reused in this game, which normally I could excuse, but there were moments where it came off as lazy, like how the zombies sound like pigs. Another thing that really came off as lazy was how bland textures for boats and walls were, instead of giving them actual wooden textures, it's just gray, like they're unfinished. I would recommend waiting until some of these things are fixed before buying the game, but keep it in your wish list, because as I said before, it has a lot of potential to be a great game. Devs, PLEASE fix these things, none of them necessarily make the game unplayable, aside from the chest one, but none of these should've made it past any play testing the game had.
Edit: I also just realized I have not gotten any achievements I should have, like surviving my first day, getting level 2, slaying an ogre, eating an apple, completing a quest, etc.
