its league of legends but lord of the rings style. fun yes. but i dont care for another repeditive game that is the same concept as league of legends. in my own opinion, not to offend anyone, but this game is boring and dull too me.

While most reviews are negative, I'm enjoying my time with GOME. I played many hours on Xbox 360. The characters are enjoyable and feel unique. You'll mainly play against bots since not many people play this. Survival is fun as well.
Purchase if you like Middle Earth and don't mind playing with only friends and bots. Don't purchase if you're looking for a competitive multiplayer experience.
Win 10 has mouse issues. You'll need a controller to play. The controls are fine and work pretty well.

THEY should make this game Free to Play, fix the bugs and see what happens. I remember playing it on the PS3, it had potential, but the bugs destroyed it. Too bad the community is dead.

So far, the biggest disappointment in my gaming experience. For sole reason alone - the people responsible did not care enough;
I've been waiting for Guardians of Middle-earth since it was announced nearly 10 years ago. It had my wholehearted support. Jawdroppingly watching the teaser trailers of characters and their techniques, alongside concept arts - I was certain, this shall be one of the best games of the Tolkien's Legendarium.
The game had (and surprisingly, still has, if anyone would simply, properly look after it) all of the potential to stand among DOTA, LOL and MOBA games alike, yet unfortunately, it met an undeserving, heartbreaking end. Instead of fixing the handful of technical issues the game has encountered - it was abandoned without any further notice. Year after year I've been checking up on it, hoping to see some issues resolved, and year after year I kept getting disappointed. Around three years back, the latest technical mishap I've encountered was the cursor simply not moving properly from one place to another; I was uncommonly confident, that they would fix this simplistic bug at least. Today, I've checked on the game again, only to see the issue still in place.
The Battle for Middle-earth was a game (one of the dearest, till this day) I've spent countless hours on back in the 00s; the remastered and overhauled edition of the game promises to reach the potential Guardians of Middle-earth has failed to.
I hope to see the day, when I'll be urged to change this review to a positive one. Shamelessly, I never lose hope in what I love.

Just Horrible, please save yourself and stay away. I, being a huge fan of LOTR, bought the mithril edition for Eighty dollars! 80! The mithril edition only gives you re-skins of other charchters. Play League of Legends, or dota(Btw they're free!). Oh, I forgot that their are only 6 charchters to play, that is without paying more money. Ironically, they're all re-skins of each other! Spare yourself, like I wished I had, and DON'T buys this game!

This game is poo stain because it is.
I like the characters like the big fat ogre with sweaty nipples but that is irrelevant.
The queue times take longer than it takes to cook a small child on Mark 10 and I nearly fell asleep.
When I got ingame it put me into a 5 v 5 match with 4 bots on each team and some guy who spent a bajillion ungandan dollars on the game. He proceeded to wipe the floor with me like my mother did after I threw up in the kitchen.

At this point the game is dead. Official forums are full of unrelated bot spam, no official postings since Jan of 2014.
Shame really, it held such potential if they had taken it seriously and not just jumped on the "just another moba" bandwagon.
Avoid at all costs, even single player gets monotonous.

It's a terrible game. It was great on consoles, where it was made for, but the developers abandoned it hardcore.
I mean just go to their website, http://www.warnerbros.com/videogame/guardians-middle-earth
It says access denied. That's when you know it's done. I'm not even sure why this game is on steam anymore.

Do not buy this game. It was terrible on the consoles, and it did not improve on the PC. Since it started, I still cannot join a match with a full complement of other human players. Most of my games are against bots only. More to the point, DOTA 2 is superior in every way to this game, and that game is for free. I see no reason to spend money on this travesty of a MOBA.

10/10 It Exists -IGN
Tired of plain old fully functioning sensible MOBAs with strong controls and some form of accessibility?
Tired of boring old precise mouse movements without a hint of unnecessary acceleration?
Are you bored of tooltips with a solid explanation of the skill in question?
Would you rather have cameras that don't pan in a sensible fashion and move when you point your mouse at the minimap?
Do you despise interesting and well-thought-out character and skill design?
Do you really love it when you just paid money for a broken-down version of the Ferrari you could have tried out for free across the street?
If you answered yes to any of the aforementioned questions, then this game is for you!
Features Include:
-Broken Mouse Precision
-Generic, Messily-Constructed Tooltips
-Awkward Camera Movement That Basically Forces You To Lock To Your Character
-Characters Which Come From The Lord of the Rings Lore (well thank goodness)
-Like Most Excellent Established MOBAs, It's FREE! (with the payment of $20 + Additional Cost If You Want To Have The Full Content Without Hours of Playtime)
If you're anything like me, you love the Lord of the Rings Franchise and the mechanics of MOBA gameplay.
And you'll love this ga-
I can't.
I just.
