Overall:
This is my favorite game of 2022. I love everything about it and I look forward to watching it grow. I could have continued my list of Pros but I think you get the point. I'm roughly 40 hours in right now and I feel like there will be hundreds or thousands of hours more of learning and adjusting with this game, The only thing it is missing is YOU. Get the game, play around with different builds. Give it a chance and I think you will enjoy it too. Make sure you experience gameplay with real people. Comms are active and you get to develop a strategy together. No toxicity. If you are having issues or need answers, just ask. Everyone is more than willing to help. If you are a noob, that is perfectly fine. We are just happy to have more people to play with. So please.... Get this game. I look forward to seeing you in there. Look for "IndieEric" in-game. Add me as a friend. And watch yourself climb up the leader board.

Coming from a long history of gaming in the Mech realm since Mech Warrior 2, I have to say this is the most engaging Mech game to date. Still in early access but with very active and mindful developers that listen to the community. Expect great things to come. With a mid to fast paced playstyle in an arcade esque areana and base capture (more game modes to come I'm sure) there can be a high learning curve. Those that can stick out the early game grind and skill honing are having a blast. Thus far the players are highly helpful and minimaly toxic. Ask your questions! Multiple weapons and modifications allow for a wide variety of customization. Great game and would highly recomend!

This game is garbage, but, it had so much potential. DOA. Waste of money!
Only 50-100 people have bought the game.
0 - 12 players online throughout every day. PEAK of 15 players. LESS THAN 5 players for 21 hours every day.
10-20 of them are this laggy/cheat abusing clan that does nothing but 3-stack - 6-stack public matches vs randoms learning the game.
They even abuse the most broken weaponry, lances, mods, or game mechanics.
This game is seriously atrocious to play when there is ANY member from that KSWN clan online.
In a 12 hour session, on a weekend, you will run across 6 players, total.
These 6 players are normally the same wussy-made clan or some other pair of buttbuddies, every single match you play will be 1v2, or 1v3, as this game has no balancing what so ever and it prioritizes party members to play on the same team, you could have a 4-man party and it would put you against 1 single enemy, every single match.
This game isn't even worth $5.00 but they are charging $30.00 for it? What a joke. Stay away and save your $30.
The developers need to do something about Party/Squads being able to fight 6 v 1 just by joining a Party/Squad. This game is a joke and so are the buttbuddies inside the KSWN clan.
EDIT: 10-4-2022: Instead of do anything about the rampant cheating in this game, the developer removed my account from the leaderboards and has forcibly changed my account's name to "Iluvthisgame" meanwhile other users have names such as "Cum Dumpster" or "Ball Gargler".
I am unable to change my name now as the developer felt "use cheat engine" was too???? Offensive? I was removed from the leaderboards for zero reason, never once cheated but, hey.
I guess what this means is, Use Cheat Engine. This developer has no anti-cheat.
None.

GALAHAD 3093 - Indirectly scratches that Mech combat "itch" from other games. The combat, regardless of other players or Bots, offers a challenge; as you have to be able to maneuver or counter different weapons, abilities, armor, and equipment. The core gameplay is very easy to get a feel for, and the movement mechanics actually make traversing the map and out maneuvering players/Bots, satisfying. The customization of components and weapons on the Lances, allows for filling roles or playing the way you want, while accenting the Knight that pilots it.

This game needs more attention. Currently lack of player base, 90% are filled with AI.
Also the optimization needs more works. I play with default high settings, there're some fps drop in big maps. It still happens even when I tuned down to the lowest setting and 1024 resolution, which means it's not my PC's problem.
Other than these 2 main 'complaints', it's an awesome game, good potential. Interesting customizatioin. Though not as hardcore as MWO, and I've seen some compared this to Hawken (which unfortunately I didn't play), but definitely worth to play.
Really devs, advertise more. Send some youtubers free copies and let them spread the gem. Also make the exposure higher in steam. It never recommended me a single time in the last year, all I saw was those war robot mobile shxt everytime I searched for mech game...

I have been playing this game in Beta since early 2021. If you’re looking for a fast pace mecha (called lances in this game) based team game this is a really good one.
With early access there are two game modes, team death-match and team base-capture. More are slated in the near future. The team base-capture has a pretty neat capture method that requires more enemy lances on a base than active reactors powering the base. Reactor can be destroyed by the attacking team and repaired by the defending team. This makes for some interesting tactics.
The lances themselves come if four basic flavors, light, medium, heavy, and super-heavy. Light to heavy trades speed for armor. The super-heavy is the slowest but has less armor, between that of the medium and heavy, but substantially more firepower. Within each weight class there is a nice selection of variants that further refine the capabilities and specialties of the lance you pilot.
There are a variety of kinetic, missile, and energy weapons you can equip your lance with. Each lance gets the selection of two primary, and two secondary weapons. They also get to select a deployable system that range from turrets, to mines, to aerial drones. Finally there is a huge array of mods that can be install to enhance the various subsystem of the lance from weapon systems, to defensive system, to mobility enhancements and more.
The movement system goes with the maps that are very three dimensional. Each lance has three locomotion modes. Walking, slow but uses no fuel and short hops powered by the legs. Skimming, a much faster ground hugging locomotion. Skimming does use fuel and the lance carries limited skim fuel that automatically refills when not in use. Finally there is the Jump Jets that launches the lance in a very fast and high trajectory. This uses a separate fuel tank that refills with not in use. In addition to the initial launch you can control this big jump in air using skim thrusters and a variety of mods that enhance this capability.
The player also gets to select the knight that will pilot their lance. Each knight comes with two specialized abilities. One is passive and always active, things like increased damage on a designated target or specialized mobility like a double jump. The second is an active abilities includes temporary shield domes, orbital strikes, and short range teleporting.
The maps vary a lot from deep ravine bases with slot canyons, sprawling bases on a low gravity moon, a network of platforms over the ocean and underground complexes. The maps have two or three bases for teams to fight over. The bases have their own defensive turret to help your team defend them, a repair pad to repair your damaged lance, and turbo pads to refuel you lance super-fast. Each map also includes a network of teleporters that can help you move even more quickly around the map.
The action is fast and furious and team work is encouraged.

Really enjoyed a lot of the tests, really enjoying launch.
The game's UI is much improved at communicating upgrade paths and stuff, but still needs a bit of work. Some weapons feel very underpowered in almost all conditions and will inevitably get a balance pass.
But so far as gameplay goes, the brawling feels amazing. On top of that the positive community from testing has carried over, and there's been great sportsmanship in my couple matches so far.
Advice: Play the tutorial, practice with loadouts, grasp the upgrade paths and read how they will improve your experience. Like any mech game, the power is in your build, not just in your ability to aim.
Most of all, work as a team and have fun.

Pros:
* A new mech game?
* 4 different sizes of mechs: Light, Medium, Heavy, and Super Heavy
Cons:
* Narrow meta in mech builds and pilots
* Tier 1-4 mechs DO NOT matter and are a waste of limited build points. This very important point is strangely missing from community guides
* Team winners get 2 out of 4 randomized things for free at the end of the match. Losers get only 1 out of 4 for free and get reduced money regardless of how well they performed on their team. For a game that is heavily geared towards grinding and has long matches, this causes casual players to be left behind
* People that play this often will have grinded for top tier mechs and will know the maps and meta. 1 high level player can solo carry in this. This leads to new players getting farmed for points
* Super Heavy size mechs do not get additional firepower options over even Light size mechs. So, no unique weaponry for the Super Heavy to balance out the slow movement speed
* Very few people are playing this. You will likely play with the same high level players over and over again

Don't let some reviews fool you. Day one had lag and ping spikes and I couldn't get any fps. However, the devs released a patch that day and the game has runs great and is really enjoyable. There needs to be an upgrade tutorial, but otherwise, loving it!

Edit: 11/16/2022 - Update 11 now (Patch every. single. week!)
Clan support & multiple clans making their way now.
Draconids fps issue seems fixed and performance stabilized.
This update included an additional map (it's HUUUGE) added plus a number of community changes including 1 or 2 of my own suggestions.
I'm pretty happy with progress and the influx of new players. More polish is needed, but that's why we need EVERYONE's suggestions! Join the discord and share your suggestions to improve this game!
For those looking for help and have questions, feel free to join our public mentorship clan [Open] if you would like help. Or you can ask for help in the discord, too! :)
[Edit: 10/30/22 -
Since going free to play there are so many new players.
Feel free to ask me any questions if you see me in game! I am always happy to share knowledge ! I am so excited to play with you all !
<3
[Edit: 10/24/22 - Galahad 3093 is free to play!]
[Edit: 10/22/22 - Community gives feedback and the devs keep rolling out patches with that feedback incorporated. And on a pretty short turnaround time. When the devs and the community are working hand-in-hand like this, it makes for beautiful games. Not everything can get addressed in a week, but the polish is already starting to add up. I believe this game is going to be great. It's already good. We just need many more players.]
I don't write reviews. I do, however, play a lot of [early-access] games.
This one has the spirit to do something really great.
This might be my first review of a game in two decades and I am posting it on the evening before the release of early access for game on steam. I will periodically update this review during the Early Access.
[9/28/22 - Three full updates this month!
Devs are super active in addressing player base concerns when the community engages in the discord. Things are getting patched and addressed as we bring them up.
It's not even a month into early access and they've given us three major updates.
New visuals look pretty rad! <3

[9/3/22 - Couple o smol patches ]

[9/1/22 - Hot and fresh patches on launch day - Devs are keepin' 'em comin'.]
I have been playing every open beta weekend since July and I have about 190 hours logged before this game hit early access. Some others who have been playing a year have more.
Other Mech games I have played:
Armored core series (ALL console US titles)
Hawken
Battlefront
1-2 from the Mech Warrior franchise
Titanfalls
Zone of the Enders
Battletech
some oldschool gundam game I can't really remember.
+ Probably others I've forgotten.
Where does this fall?
It feels most similar to Armored Core for customization and speed of gameplay/boosts and very similar to Hawken in terms of squad tactics. It's a deeply satisfying blend for me.
I would love energy swords to come into this, but otherwise I am so excited and proud to support this game!
Thank you for making this and I look forward to the early access!
