This game is pure MASTERPIECE! The story, writing, characters, art and the message in general... 10/10! It touches on important topics such as societal pressure, tradition vs individual happiness, handover of Hong Kong, politics... I just love it. What's even better is the fact you can actually choose your path. Great work Oracle and Bone, I think it was a great idea to make this an interactive visual novel instead of comics and I'm looking forward to your next project! :3

This is a thoughtful, realistic VN where the characters behave like real humans, not anime characters. There's comedy, but not slap stick, and drama, but not melodrama, and what drama the game presents is based on people behaving like believable humans in realistic situations. The writing is excellent, as are the two main characters, who are very different, but both likeable. The setting is unique and the artwork is vibrant and really reflects 1980's HK. In addition to the artwork, you get bits and pieces of Chinese culture throughout the game, which is a nice plus. The story has a few "lucky coincidence" moments, but it doesn't lean too much into that, and it's otherwise a pretty grounded story, so I think it can be forgiven. There's an optional "passion patch" that adds a teensy bit of very mild nudity along with a little extra dialogue, assuming you make enough "correct" dialogue choices at critical points of the game. (It's saucy, but tastefully done.) It has two very different endings, and I recommend playing through both, with one (presumably canonical) ending much more fleshed out than the other (at least a full hour longer). Unless you a lot of poor choices choices earlier in the game, it should be obvious where the "leads to ending #1 vs #2" choice is, and what each choice implies, so be sure to save at that point and replay both endings, preferably starting with the bad (but not that bad) one, and then enjoy the much more complete canonical ending. This is definitely on my list of games I wish I could forget so I could replay. Very highly recommended.
