The game really needs some improvement to the driving and the camera/controls. It personally doesn't suit me and I will be asking for a refund.

This game makes you clean up cow poop in the first mission. Sadly that was the most fun I had the whole time. I am going to stop playing now and going to play an escape room. Also, the fact that this is 30 dollars shows the publisher is completely out of touch with reality. The sim community deserves better.

The game looks alright, maybe a little dated, but I have two major issues with it: 1. Stuttering, stuttering, stuttering. The game runs at over a 100fps but will stutter quite a bit. It doesn't matter if you are driving slow or fast, it will stutter. 2. The driving. It's not good. I play on an controller and the steering is still very twitchy. Going on the Autobahn on-and off ramps is difficult even if you are driving the posted speed limit. Then some smaller issues: 1. When you pull someone over, the game will teleport you to a rest stop instead of letting you drive there yourself. 2. When you are investigating a car, if you find anything illegal, the game will instantly arrest the suspect and not let you finish your investigation. Also, no ability to request prisoner transport. Would be a nice thing to have. 3. The AI's driving skill is not good. Many times I thought I was following a impaired driver but that never was the case. The driving of the AI is just too twitchy and doesn't have much logic in it at times. 4. When on foot, the way your character handles feels clunky. I feel like it was like this on the first installment of the series and hasn't been changed. Doesn't bother me too much in the end but it is noticeable. Things I like: 1. The way you unlock new vehicles and skills. I like the skill tree system, seems fun. 2. The selection of vehicles once you unlock them, it's not too large but it doesn't have to be. 3. Mission variety from what I've seen from videos and from my time playing it. 4. The size of the map. It's not too big but it also isn't too small. It's perfect for a game like this. The game has massive potential. I hope the devs will keep updating it and do not release another game (at least in this game series) anytime soon. I hope they dedicate their time and resources into this one game.

OMG this game is the same old S**t as the other games . I was really really hoping this one was better. Bugs , POOR controls and NO wheel support. AVOID ! this one is yet another Abortion of a 'Simulator' from Aerosoft.
TL;DR
For people who enjoy law and order sims: 8/10: With all of the updates, I believe that ABPS3 now has at least ten dollars worth of upgrades compared to it's predecessor. For every other type of gamer: 5/10: There's still erratic normal drivers, hilariously bad bleed-through, and people who drive without regards to police lights and sirens. At least the game has improved. For people who think character design is one of the best parts of a game: 1/10: We can't change our officer's looks anymore like in ABPS2?!! As if it wasn't bad enough that each playable character has only a single civilian outfit!
Overview
[strike]Anyone who plans on purchasing Autobahn Police Simulator 3 better trade in their gaming wheel for either a guitar or harmonica, because there's no steering wheel support at this time and potential players are going to be singing Early Access Blues.[/strike] The game starts with the main character being an inexperienced officer returning to duty after being injured in an accident in an attempt to stop an illegal street race. (Apparently new officers do not start out on probation like in American law enforcement organizations.) Starting from the bottom, the player has to work their way up in both rank and experience before (presumably) going after the menace of illegal street racing.
Graphics and Sound
The textures to everything has improved over Autobahn Police Simulator 2 and this includes the textures of everyone's skins. While the skintone textures still don't quite seem right (Pralinesims must not be available) the skintones are improved nonetheless. It is a shame that the side mirrors do not represent what's visible on the street like they did in Autobahn Police Simulator 2. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2825206051 While there's still some bleed-through in the graphics from Autobahn Police Simulator 2, the graphics glitches can be bad, and the main character sometimes does not know how to hold either a gun, handcuffs, or a donut. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2825242742 The sounds are about the same as the previous game, but now with background music that does seem to set the mood. (Ol' Il Pallino recommends muting the music and playing some German Punk Rock.) Thankfully, the biggest improvement to the sound is that the engine volume stays consistent so the player doesn't have to keep turning down the volume the faster they drive and then turn the volume back up [strike]so they can hear the British accented voice artists. (Apparently nobody at Aerosoft read ol' Il Pallino's review to Autobahn Police Simulator 2 in which it was recommended to use German voice artists, and even when they speak in English.)[/strike]
Positives and Negatives
The police rankings are back from Autobahn Police Simulator 1 and are much more comprehensive than before. Certain criteria (and more of it) is required in order to gain ranks, and increases in rank also results in the storyline expanding. The old mechanic from Autobahn Police Simulator 2 is gone in which the player has to decide between doing story-based missions and sandbox patrolling. Now the player is expected to engage in the latter to earn more XP to spend on whatever is needed for a promotion. The driving skills course over at the police station is a brilliant new addition, and while an easy way to farm XP, the skills tests are both fun and interesting. Pulling over people and going through their vehicles is still as fun as ever. Unlike in Autobahn Police Simulator 2, when a motorist's name doesn't match the vehicle registration information, the partner can check to see if everything works. But unlike Autobahn Police Simulator 1, the player does not directly deal with dispatch to check if the driver has a warrant or if the car is on the hot sheet. The player can no longer look inside of the interior of a car (just the trunk/boot) like in Autobahn Police Simulator 2 to see if a motorist has empty liquor bottles and/or firearms. Thankfully the motorist no longer bounces around and the car lights all show up correctly from the previous game, but it's also nice to be able to actually examine the TÜV sticker on a motorist's licence plate. For better or worse, the player cannot manually specify why a motorist has been pulled over which existed in Autobahn Police Simulator 1. The main character will state that a motorist was pulled over "for a check" when it's obvious when motorists is either swerving or has a defective light. [strike]For awhile, the player would state that a motorist was driving over the speed limit, but a recent update removed this feature. (In spite of the fact that some motorists will drive over the speed limit.)[/strike] Checking to see if a motorist is under the influence of drugs is significantly increased from Autobahn Police Simulator 2. While motorists do tend to move their heads and eyes a bit more than normal, a drug user will move their heads at an even more noticeably rapid pace, and the motorist can also exhibit involuntary mouth movements in addition to sweating profusely. Just to spoil things for everybody, the pursuit vehicle that's unlocked in the end is a
muscle car apparently of American origin. Certainly the player deserves the likeness of a high-end BMW coupe, Mercedes-AMG, Audi TT, or a Porsche!
[strike]Shootouts are now possible in ABPS3, but before anyone gets excited, the shootouts are uninteresting and unrealistic to the point to where it feels like shooting people with a pistol is like trying to drop a bison with a .22 long rifle. A shooting range claims to be available, but when the players try to access the shooting range from the driving course, the option for shooting is grayed-out, and there's a good reason why many more people were credited for the achievement of finishing the game than they were for using the shooting range.[/strike] ABPS3 now has more scavenger hunts than before, and while this does make the game more interesting, players may appreciate or hate the fact that the emergency call boxes, rubber ducks, breakdown triangles, and photography spots are all visibly marked on the map. The main character and partner now have random conversations, which makes things a bit more interesting at first, but the same conversation material never goes away, and the main character and partner will continue talking about rubber ducks on the side of the road, photographing interesting places, and other things even after the player has completed all of the scavenger hunts.
Conclusion
The game has been updated since the original release. [strike]About the only one remaining issue is that there's two vehicles (one of them mission-specific) that are not fully compatible with steering wheels. It's unlikely this issue will be resolved since Aerosoft has announced an upcoming law enforcement game.[/strike] And now there's a DLC for people who want to play even more beyond the base game's story.
The honest word of Il Pallino... OR ELSE!

Follow our curator page, OCG-Curations, if you like and want to see more reviews like this one.
I don't know why Police Simulators seem to be so hard to get decently right. The LSPDFR mod series for GTAV seems to still do it best, but modding in GTAV is an unrewarding experience. APS 3 gets a thumbs down from me mostly because it seems to fail to offer substantial improvements over its predecessor. Character models and animations are still weird. Driving controls are still terrible. Performance is choppy. The things you appear to be able to unlock hint at a complexity that looks likely to never be realised. The progression system is even less comprehensible, with some task requirements that may accidentally soft-lock you out of further progression. The thing that bothers me most though is that rather than sort out vehicle pathing, for traffic stops you now get spawned/teleported into a predetermined layby instance to carry out a check, assuming the vehicle stops on the initial pullover. The map is also quite small, but travel times often get artificial lengthened by the destination being in the opposite direction to travel, requiring a complex interchange to turn around. Again, it's not terrible, but it doesn't feel like a significant improvement on its predecessor, which make it hard to suggest you should spend money buying this game

Not so much fun because of how the game stops and cuts to what you are doing. Like if you pull someone over - the game will auto load you on the side of the road with that car. It creates "stops" in the gameplay that I am not a fan of. The devs need to figure out how other police games don't do that and then this would be a better game. Driving mechanics are... weird. Not very realistic.

The ingame sounds are horrible and probably ripped from royalty free sound effect site. The car engine is very silent, while the indicators, sirens, etc. just scream right at you. it's just strange. You can basically just drive like a maniac without repercussions. Your car has almost perfect grip and it feels "weird" driving like that. When you crash, you just bounce away, like it's Mario Kart or something. The game feel like it's a late alpha and the trailer videos makes you think, you actually get a very decent game. Overall: It's just very plain, boring and you don't get what you expect from the trailers. I'm going to refund this. It's not worth ~30€ in my opinion.

Sad to say that it is the same as other products of this dev. Unoptimized, terrible controls and terrible voice acting. I would also like an option where i can select English text but German audio. Buy it? not in this state ( I'm afraid that the game will not change a lot.)

I have played the Game for ~20 minutes. No support for 3440x1440p, unstable camera, FPS drops/lags with an RTX 3080. In addition some little things are annoying, for example that only three pre-defined character models are available. My hope was that the developer used the release delays to improve the quality of the game, but that did not become true.
