Shame on the devs for releasing old game with new bugs. Such a lazy slop.

No fucking way this game is "definitive edition". Everything is thrash. FPS stuttering problems bugs even the gameplay and the graphichs, looks like Rockstar types of "definitive edition"

Mafia Two is a game I've completed many times, both on console and PC and is probably one of my favourite games of all time.

The story is great, not as good as the first game but still solid. Anything outside of the story is utter garbage. The collectibles are garbage. All 3 "DLC's" are garbage. The scoring system is garbage. The fact that you can speed past the cops at 120 MPH and they won't care, but when you pass them going slightly faster and having Rambo and Seal Team 6 crammed down your throat is absurd. You run out of ammo every 24 milliseconds. Every car feels like a giant turd with an engine in it. You have to change your clothes every time you step out of the store because you're wanted dead by the cops for walking down the street. The game threatens to seize up and combust your PC when you enter a new area and it stutters like hell trying to process what just happened. This game does NOT age like wine. It curdles and sours like milk the longer you play it. Just stay away from this tire fire of a game.

delivering a stylish, cinematic ride through 1940s–50s America. With sharp writing, a gripping story, and unforgettable characters, it’s a gangster epic with real heart.

Story good. Game play is shit. buggy and doesn't feel good to drive, shoot, or do almost anything. every mission is an uphill battle with the enemies AI the NPC's, random game breaking bugs and the games controls.

Mixed feelings for this game. Story was very good, imo better than mafia 1. Immersion is very good. But in order too 100% requires a lot of grind of collectables (
189 Wanted Posters
). Checkpoints are very rare in this game, although this added to the difficulty. But it was the DLCs that is trash and brings out the bad in the game. It focused over quantity than quality. Missions are highly repetitive (going back and forth, killing, stealing cars) with minimal story. AND THE CHECKPOINTS - one is at the start of mission, one is at the end THAT'S IT! That just makes the game frustrating to play. There are 3 DLC and i only played 2 (required for achievements). I had to play on Easy/Normal because enemies are endless and have aimbots. Dying meant starting it all over again. NPCS are dumb and swerve into you while driving. 1000 miles achievements is horrendous. out of 90 hours of me playing, 40 is just me afk while car fell into the void Would I suggest this game/is it a must-try? Yes. Would I encourage 100%? No

This game is an amazing game of course please don't compare this game to the first version. The game has beautiful environments interesting characters and dialogues there has been a lot of progress in the physics and innovation of this game it may be strange but i think driving in this version is better than version one overall this game is a great choice for both mafia lovers and those looking for a good game

Not much of a difference from the classic version of the game. It would have been nice to have the option to free roam after completing the story, it makes no sense to gather money if you don't get to spend it. The extra content is awful and a waste of time.

Mafia II: Definitive Edition is one of my favorite games that I regularly return to, especially in winter. It’s incredibly atmospheric and captures the spirit of the era like no other. The story is one of the best in the genre—engaging, dramatic, with charismatic characters and natural dialogue. The shooting and cover mechanics feel satisfying, and I personally enjoy the driving, even though some may find it repetitive. After all, the focus here is on story-driven missions rather than an open world. Unfortunately, the side missions were cut. The remaster slightly improved lighting and textures. I personally had no issues with optimization or bugs, although some players have reported problems. Mafia II is a masterpiece. I spent countless hours in the original version—it’s truly a childhood classic for me. I highly recommend it to everyone. My rating: 10/10.
