As a first game from these independent developers, it's a fun puzzle VR game. The sound design is awesome, too. I highly recommend you enjoy this short and fun VR game. I can't wait to see what else the developers come up with!

ANDERSON isn't the most original of games, but from what I've played, it's very well executed, especially so for an early access game. I've seen some gripes about performance in previous reviews, but it runs just as I require on my 8700k, 1070 Ti, 32GB of RAM and original VIVE. It's a little dark in some spots, but otherwise the textures and modelling is really good. I obviously haven't played much, but the tutorials are good and enjoyable to work through. However, the tutorial kind of drops you right in, and while tutorials that hold your hand are super annoying, I do feel it could be slightly more explanatory. There are also some issues with collision, but nothing game breaking. The sound is also pretty good, especially with the voice acting. I would recommend this game to other people.

I knew it was short, I got if on sale for $1.50 and I wasn't disappointed. Graphics are great. The first puzzles I'd seen in other games, but this gem had a totally unique puzzle that was definitely worth it.

It's a fun game even though the puzzles are a bit too simple.
The graphics aren't the highest end but still quite nice.
But unfortunately the performance is so horrendously bad that I simply can not recommend it.
Even on a very powerful system on the lowest settings the game has constant lags.
Sometimes so bad that it's nauseating because your head movement suddenly stops.
It would be a great game if it ran properly but with the current performance it's borderline unplayable.

Part of me wishes that Steam reviews weren't so polarized, so that I could slap my rating right in the middle.
ANDERSON is a short experience with a number of puzzles, but there are a number of bugs that have yet to be addressed. At one point, I wondered if I had sequence-broke the last part of the game. Other times, I wondered if the robot companion would stop spinning violently in and out of the earth. The worst part is that, also in the last puzzle of the game, you can barely see if you don't find something you're intended to find, which is hidden in the dark.
But these puzzles made me think, and that's what I like about puzzle games. Needs polish still but is a delight.

Anderson has so much potential... It's a nice short game with some interesting puzzles. The story is interesting and engaging and what it lacks in length it makes up for in entertainment. Worth the price of admission for sure. I cant wait to see what this team brings to the gaming community in the future!

For the price, it's ok I guess.
I didn't enjoy it, it didn't run well, and in fact crashes unless on low.
The titular character, Anderson, is annoying and basic, and seems to enjoy dolphining through the terrain.
The puzzles are rather crap. I didn't feel like I'd worked anything out, or a sense of euphoria for completing one.
There was no real connection to the games characters, or a reason for me to keep going. We are some kind of operative sent to ensure Anderson is destroyed, from what I gather.
Grabbing objects requires you to press both trigger and grab at the same time, which got annoying real fast.
I really didn't see anything that justifies it being a VR game. All the puzzles could be done with KB+M, though I did not finish the game, so can't speak for all of them.
TL;DR: It's just a very basic, badly voice acted, unoptimised, glitchy, VR mystery puzzle game. but it is cheap.
Personally didn't enjoy it, so I'm not gonna recommend

The game is a puzzle kinda escape the room game with a few rooms, and a few things to do in each room.
Voice acting is pretty good, puzzles are satisfactory and the story is intriguing.
But is pretty buggy, i had to uninstall and reinstall to get the initial computer to "power on" i thought i had to power the monitor but it was a glitch. This is probably my main issue, as i dont know if im supposed to be able to do something or is the game bugged? i felt this a few times during my playthrough, and in a puzzle game, it kinda ruins it.
Performance was pretty bad, 60fps on low with a 1080 and a 3600, and it still had dips.
Graphics arent bad, but they are pretty basic, and i had to go to LOW quality settings where the textures where pretty ugly looking. Also, the overall environment i felt was way too dark like you cant see your hands dark.
You can grabpull items, you point at something, and it comes to your hand, but this causes anything in the way to get knocked off, i had to restart once because a mission item was knocked off and couldnt find it anymore.
It lacks polish in a sense of guiding you where to go next, and if you miss the audio you might have to wonder aimlessly until you find your next objective.
I understand its an early access game, and it would normally get a positive recommendation because while it lacks polish, and is glitchy and has badish performance, its totally playable (finished it in ~1hr), and i did enjoy the puzzles and story and voice, it totally has potential.
But it has not had an updated in over 6 months, so it might be abandoned?, but if its not, currently its too short and too glitchy to recommend.

Anderson is a pretty good VR puzzle game. I had a lot of fun with this game, however, it is not without its faults.
The graphics and Sound design are pretty good. Voice acting wasn't professional grade, but it seems like they tried.
The puzzles are fun, but not very hard. Not being hard is fine by me. Only got stuck a couple times, but even then it wasn't for a frustratingly long time. The puzzles take place in several areas each being like a mini escape room.
The story wasn't too deep, but I liked it. It clicked with me (I don't want to give anything away),
Really, the only problem were the bugs. None of the bugs I ran into were game-breaking, however, one towards the end held me up for awhile. On that note, the loading screens, when one transitions between areas, are very shaky, which could cause problems for some, I imagine. Once loaded into the area, however, the performance seemed solid.

I wanted to preface this review by saying I am physically unable to play a large majority of VR games due to nausea. This is not the case with Anderson. Anderson has a plethora of options for movement and its incredibly smooth and playable.
The graphics are fantastic and stable (no visual bugs or artifacting). The game doesn't hold your hand but provides adequate indicators to keep you progressing.
This has been a wonderful mystery/puzzle experience and I'm glad to have been able to play it.
The game is priced fairly for the length of game play and I hope the developer succeeds and puts out more content!
