TL;DR: Good game should buy
Found this by seeing what games a steam curator i recently started to follow reviewed positively. The curator's whole thing is being a way to find hidden gems, and damn this game fits perfectly into that! Most jrpgs are hit or miss to me (unless they have sweet sweet mario and luigi-esque action commands!), mainly due to me liking to lie about enjoying turn-based battles (my autism doesn't like slow battle animations), but this one is awesome alright! (although i do miss the option of running away from battles but that is minor) The characters are charming, everyone of them feel worthy (
Kiyota and Lunez
my favorites) enough of spending the small amounts of activity points you get, which are used to increase their Sync Link persona-style y'know Time to talk about my toxic relationship! turn-based combat! but what??? this time he's acting unusually nice to me? So yeah the turn-based combat in this is pretty good alright, the animations are fast but still quite flashy and with the sound effects you get a feel for each hit, the regen of MP per turns and the addition of Hype in the battles shake it up, skills have different cool stuff to them, such as follow-ups, enemies have elemental weaknesses, in general it's just a solid combat system that i at least didn't feel that wasted my time too much. (as mentioned in the game's description, there is no random encounters but also no run option, so it's a "I won but at what cost" situation, but it's just a minor thing which i really don't pay attention if it keeps being like that in the future sequel)
Now for some minor things:
The music is beaty, i like it The pixel art is lacking just a tiny bit, understandably so, and in a certain way, it oddly has it's charm The game was made mostly by 1 single person, that being Bass, which excuses for a bit of any of the mildly sharp edges you may find
Lunez
my beloved
Conclusion
Very good game, like it very much, i give my like, uhh i wait for Dyztopia 2 because my autism needs something to hyperfocus on!
