My favourite turn-based game on PC at the moment.
- well balanced (every fight matters, no really sick combos)
- very difficult and rewarding (I finished only two out of 40 runs successfully - but I was proud and loud each of those two times)
- great graphics (stylish and original)
- motion is awesome (characters move differently, atack cards have dedicated animations, you can create a dynamic sequence in a turn-based card-driven combat)
- almost no bugs (I experienced one up until now)
- atmospheric music (I am still not bored of hearing the same battle theme for 35+ hours yet)
I am going back to the vault.

The game is incredible for an early access game with beautiful animations, stunning arenas and multiple foes with unique ways to approach the fight. The three playable characters seem to all have preffered playstyles, but you are not locked in any way to it, making it possible to go with Smite (0 energy attack that's buffable by other cards) deck for all of them. However, I can't say the game is without flaws, which I hope will be adressed in patches.
Warlord enemies (red mutants with a clawhand) are incredibly painful to fight. They gaint extra attack each time they are attacked, while also applying bleed effect. This basically means you have to chip away and defend frantically as they cycle through two attacks and a buff. It is surely intentional, which doesn't change the fact it's plainly annoying. I don't think bleed should be applied if you defend from all the damage.
Some cards lack descriptions and some seem to not gain any effect when upgraded. They also do nothing (don't upgrade), which leads me to believe it's just an unfinished part of the game at this stage, alas, it can be annoying.
Thirdly, clear strength disbalance between playable characters. Nereide is EASILY most powerful character, even compared to Hectors's counterattack fiesta or Doltar's 60 damage 1 energy attack. She gets access to a unique companion, her wolf, which normally would be only a slight issue leaving one hungry for additional 2 unique ones, maybe a mutant hound for Hectos and a mechanical robin for Doltar, but the real problem is the buffs. You gain two easily best attacks in the game, with one scaling 15 damage each turn it stays in your hand and the other one dealing 5 damage each turn with base damage of 15 that ADDITIONALY gives you a shield if you are belowe half of your hp. One of the perks actively helps you with staying in a safe 50% range while also giving you massive buffs. It just feels like every character compared to her is...underwhelming.
Another, much smaller issue, is deck building aspect. While there are loose builds you can go to, fact you can't decline adding a card is making the whole aspect boil down to "Take best cards each time".
I have very high hopes for the game, and I believe that with fixed cards, balancing issues fixed and just a tiny bit of extra flavor (AKA attacks looking more distinct, as there was one unque animation I managed to find, funnily enough with the card becoming my favorite) this game will become a cult classic with massive following. Currently, dealing with ranged attacks and especially the enemy with shield and a gun is the most bothersome thing, but I am sure we will not only get characters with ranged attacks but also range counter.
Overall, in it's current state, strong 7,5/10
