This game has one of the most relatable main characters I've ever seen. I love this game, because it knows exactly how to get the feelings from the player. It's a bit repetitive, but not to the point where it's unbearable, and the repetition is kind of the point, so it would be weird if it was new every time. The characters are charming. It gets silly sometimes, but that's what makes it fun to play instead of just depressing (which it also is, but that's just the nature of the story.)
If you want to decide between playing this or In stars and time, then please choose ISAT, because this is a small bit of the full story, and it's worth the full price. spoiler about the nature of the endings!
(ISAT also has a happy ending, which I can't say about the prologue)
If you have alread played ISAT, then you should already know what the prologue explores. If you don't, look up
two hats ending.
I personally think it adds enough to be worth your time if you liked the characters at all. Some may be disappointed at how short it is (I have only 5h on record and got the
true
ending. I skipped the
perfect
ending, so I'd say there's enought content to play maybe 7-8h total), and it lacks some quality of gameplay improvements present in ISAT
(gray dialogue options, zoning out and the star save points {you can stave anytime, but there are no save points to remember your level})
, and the fighting system is a bit worse, (no combo and different UI), but I still enjoyed it a lot.
