I really want to like this game but... I can't, i was there one year ago and since then i was waiting for the full release. I was really exited when i read about it's date. but after playing it... i dont know what to think about it. Since last year there arent many new weapons, and those which are there dont feel much different, the one "heavy" weapon is bad and could be used only in one mission really. Yes, mission 8. Oh mission 8.... The combat is chaotic... in a bad way. The UI just disapears in the amount of lasers and enemy missiles. The flares that are supposed to somewhat protect from them doesnt work, the frames modes dont feel much different... the list goes one. As for the graphics and story. Graphics are great both in cut scenes and during talking sequences as well as in battles but, once again, sometime u cant see them because of amount of fire raining upon you. The weapons looks great, boost looks nice and audio is good. The voice actors clearly arent profesionals, with some exceptions, I am not sure why developer decided to make a Voice over in english instead of japanese, thai or chinese. And the story... i wouldnt see much difference without it, characters arent really fleshed out, dont seem to have any motives and some dialogues that are supposed to show their feelings... yeah they doesnt work. Many times during this review i was comparing NIMBUS to other customize-mecha-game "Mecha Knights: nightmare" and Mecha knight was superior in most cases. The combat was more satysfing, the pace and UI was better. Even the story and narration was more consistant and interesting. All in all this game still need a lot of work and much more content to be worth buying.
