Kupiłem przez polecenie znajomego. Niestety motyw rodem z crypt of the necrodancer jest tutaj dla mnie wąskim gardłem.

Lackluster and relatively safe in its aesthetic choices, Hellsinger nevertheless delivers fun experience. Sorely misses some QoL features like negative latency, convenient modding (custom music) and beat loudness adjustment. Will be looking out for a sequel.

TLDR; Go play Bullets Per Minute if you like FPS rhythm games
I played the demo ages ago because I like rhythm games, and my brother showed it to me. I really liked what there was, it seemed like a really good intro to a spectacular game. So when I saw it was on a big sale, I grabbed it with all the DLCs.
And wow, the whole game felt shorter than that one time I played the demo. I finished the final boss and... That's it? Wait, a cliffhanger? What the hell?
I've tried some challenges. They're not particularly fun. Kinda boring, actually.
Leviathan mode is very unbalanced and frankly, annoying. The arenas are too small, the monster waves are too predictable and the difficulty jump is frankly stupid.
The DLC costumes... Are fine. Not like I can see my character outside of cutscenes anyway.
The story though. Let me tell you, this was a disappointment through and through. "What fun lore can a game called Hellsinger have? If they're going with the Angels singing thing, what does it mean for a demon to sing? If the voice was the most valuable thing for Unknown to be taken from her, what power does it hold? Who is the skull? Why is he helping the Unknown?"
Well, not that fun actually, it doesn't matter all that much, no one knows but apparently she's gonna kill god so that's very original, and the skull is just one of the high ranking angels that fell cause he was in love with her, and that's why he's helping. The last thing was the most disappointing, we're talking about hell here, literally any reason ever could have been used instead of love of all things. Like, not even "I'm using her to attempt ascending"? And that's one of the cheap ones! But no, had to go for literal bottom of the barrel "she so hot i trip and fall".
And in the final cutscene they teased their human designs. Because THAT's what I want from a game about demons, a skull turns into a bearded bro, and the cool demon into a sexy lady. I thought we were on a mission to kill god, not sit at a bar. On with it! Oh wait there's no sequel.
In some way I get it, Unknown is fucking hot, even my asexual ass realizes she checks a bunch of beauty standards. And the entire time the narrator talks about her positively and calls her strong and powerful and cool. This game is very clearly a big fat power fantasy, with how easy it is, and the constant gassing the skull does. Of course they'd make the suave skull be in love with her and literally his only motivation for anything, of course the final boss is actually her ex-guardian, of course there's a prophecy and she's the very special girl who's gonna have it all.
But there's this stink in the air, and it smells like wasted potential.
Cult of the Lamb took the hell, death, illness, mind control, dark magic themes, made it cute and RAN WITH IT. They made that game full of lore, character, memorable designs, despite the plot being actually extremely simple. COTL can be summed up with a sentence "God of Death takes revenge on his siblings for imprisoning him, gets betrayed by his chosen." and it is a hundred times more compelling than Hellsinger.
Gameplay-wise, it's fine. No offbeats, so that sucks, mostly just LMB to the beat to attack, R for quick reload and space and shift for jump and dash. Weapons don't feel incredible to use, but you feel it when you score a kill and it's really nice.
Music? Very good. I liked every track I heard. Got one stuck in my head, wouldn't leave me alone. Kind of fades into the background when you're on a killing spree though.
Compared to the only other rhythm FPS I played, Bullets Per Minute which doesn't have a story, has way less music, and in comparison laughably simple graphics, still comes up as a better game- because it doesn't try to be an rpg, a story, and a narrated comic book. It's a rhythm game, and that's what it focuses on. Way more weapons, way more focus on the beat, way more enemies, multiple bosses, multiple characters to play as with different mechanics and challenges, and way more hours you can spend playing it without getting bored. Funnily enough, you play as Valkyries. So, still mythology, just a different flavor.
All in all, Hellsinger's fine. I expected better but fine is enough.
