The music in this alone is worth the price. I was pretty impressed by the music, they actually got big names in the industry to do vocals, which is incredible. What really made me leave this review, is not only did they do all this amazing music, but they then sponsored LittleV - an artist who does metal covers of various songs - to do a cover of one of their songs. These guys get it. I will be following these devs and look forward to anything else they do. As for the gameplay, it's actually pretty good. I'm not really into FPS games, just not really my thing. But this game was really fun, even if you don't enjoy FPS games.

i adore the concept but the game never does anything interesting with it. most songs have nearly identical bpms and the bosses at the end of each level are nearly identical to one another. combine that with the fact that your only unlocks are new weapons and it makes the game feel pretty one-note (lol). the game is also way shorter than it should be, i did all the side levels and it only took me like 5 hours. it's not terrible, but i definitely wouldn't call it good.

Great game and even better songs. The only rhythm game I enjoyed playing.

One of the most unique games I've ever played. A very nice mix between shooter / action and rhythm. You gotta shoot, dodge, reload and KILL to the beat of the epic heavy metal soundtrack. With absolutely iconic singers from bands such as Trivium and System of a Down, you can't go wrong! Although I recommend it, I will say probably wait for sale because there's not a lot of content unless you don't mind replaying the game over and over just on harder difficulties.

This game is a rhythm based shooter, meaning that you can'tjust go weapons free but instead every shot and every swing must fit the current beat. Kind of as if Doom were developed by a metal band. The story is a rather basic tale about two beings in hell, nothing special really, but still nice to listen to. The narrator's voice is modeled after those badass metal biker talk shit guys that one might know from the scene. That makes him very cliche-like but also entertaining to listen to. Even on normal difficulty the game throws you into quite challenging situation sometimes, and it is often required to approach a situation again with different preparation and tactics. But where the game gets REAL hard is the optional challenges which can be completed to unlock certain bonus perks. While most shouldn't take longer than 1-3 tries, some can keep you stuck for an hour or longer (those who played the game and struggled definitely know which one). Graphics are nothing special but that's not what this game is about. The soundtrack however is pure metal beauty. If you're a fan of the genre and have a basic sense about rhythm, you're gonna have a great time here. I recommend playing this game in short sessions of 1-2 hours, since it requires you to stay extremely focused on the beat all the time, which can become very exhausting. Overall, this game is a challenging but rewarding, fun experience and a true gem for metal fans.

I loved the game song choice, several musical layers adding with Fury stacks and general rythm slasher idea. You'd really better read in-game tips though, figured out recently that my dashes also should match the rythm and help build up combos :,) This game was challenging to me as I am used to listen more than watch visual indicators and several songs were really tough to catch rythm of, it's easy to hear every 8th beat, but 4th and 2d can be pretty much tracked only in your head. It's a pity that story mode is so short and I'd love to see advanced rythm slasher gameplay like plunges, casting spells, hold-release attacks, more mobility and etc.

Very good rythm first person shooter game. Excelent final level and ending the hype was through the roof. 10/10 proper video game.

The story is absolute dog water (the art is okayish and the writing is awful) but everything else is SO FUN. If you're in doubt about playing this game just google the setlist of songs featured in it, i'm talking about collaborations with Arch Enemy, Dark Tranquility, System of a Down, Jinjer, Lacuna Coil... This soundtrack and the "doom-like gameplay" are enough to make me enjoy it for hours. Maybe the "rhythm" aspect is a bit complicated for people who aren't into music based games, but you have the option to play on easy to practise a bit before attempting more challenging stuff later. It's so satisfying to fire a shotgun/crossbow in time with the beat of the song. Very nice.
